When the incident took place with the two under-aged girls it was all over the news.
Never heard anything about Henley suing any of the news sources for defamation.

I'm sure Henley could have hired a team of highly competent lawyers to represent him, but

The fact he keeps filing lawsuits with help from his high price goose stepping lawyers may explain why he charges high prices for people to hear him lip synch rather than actually sing like a man.

One thing never discussed in the whole Eagles tour ticket prices/lip-syncing/Don Henley controversy is how this has affected Vince Gills's reputation. Not that he is responsible for any of it,...but,...he mostly has an unblemished reputation within the music industry. I'm curious if he ever feels slimy getting involved with the Eagles tribute band.
If you ever watched the Ken Burns series on Country Music, Vince talked about walking away from a top 40 band to create his own brand as a Country Music artist. He did very well, but to throw it away to become Henley's slave makes no sense.

Don Henley may be an amazing singer, songwriter and drummer, but he's still one of the worst human beings in music. Doesn’t stop me from listening to his music though
Dirty Laundry is a song that has me mixed:
1. It’s mixed fine, good usage of some of his Eagle’s band mates and lyrics
2. The fact it’s inspired by an incident of a 16 year old fan overdosing at his house and tries to take media shots at the same time has me rolling my eyes. Granted he took responsibility of that accident but how does Henley think crafting a 1983 stab at media sensationalism over a death at his house work?
If I were representing the defense, I'd pick out the times he sued even smaller musicians or youtubers who were fans of his music .I'd even bring up his advancing age and need to bloat his legacy instead of just leaving things alone.
Garth Brooks is very anti new technology too. Don’t think he’s hired 60 people to do his dirty work but he’s another artist that can land a channel in trouble if you review his music

As a vocalist, drummer and songwriter he has talent. Unfortunately his arrogant personality and character is not something to be desired. I do however think he has the rights to those lyric notes/napkins if they are in his handwriting. Shouldn't have to pay for them or waste time on a useless trial. Love the Eagles music period. Not interested in DH's offstage drama.

@@overcomerbtboj yea check out Jethro Tull's song " We Used to Know ". The Eagles were an opening act for Tull's early 70's tour where Tull played their song "We Used toi Know " all the time.
@@overcomerbtboj the chord progression of hotel California is the same as one of the songs on the standup album by Jethro Tull except they changed one cord in the sequence I believe I don't remember exactly but being a guitar player I do remember it was something to that affect

I’m not a huge Eagles fan by any measure, I did think Dons album with heart of the matter was a very good album, but to the Crux of the comment, maybe 10 years ago the Eagles did some kind of farewell tour, I remember the tickets were astronomical, my point is how much money do you need, 700K is peanuts for this guy. But I’m not in his shoes and clearly he feels wronged, I wish they’d burn the master of Hotel California and throw in smoke on the water, thank God we have options from radio, I bet they’re still pumping that shit out 6 times a day

I think one mentioned it might have turned into a 50 million settlement, others guess it might reach 100 million and I think the Felder collecting some of the Eagles tours might have similarities to Steve Perry. Think he is entitled to some of the concert cash from Journey performances.

Ok This is one of your more reasonable videos regarding The Eagles and Henley so I’ll respond in kind .
My opinion is that the material in question absolutely belongs to Henley 100% . Those lyrics were his hard work, in his hand , and should be his to decide when and where they’re seen and by whom . For example, several years ago, Bruce Springsteen had notebooks of lyrics , outfits from album covers, guitars and various other valuable pieces of memorabilia on display at Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, for a period of time. Maybe Henley would like to do something like that. But certainly NOT have people making money from it who aren’t authorized to do so.
The 2nd part about that 70’s contract ? Yeah he DEFINITELY doesn’t want that contract coming out because it will prove that Felder was right all along, and put him back in the limelight again in a positive way, That , I’m sure he would NOT want to happen. Felder would be happy to get up and play with the rest of the band one last time, he would bury the hatchet, but Henley and Irv Azoff are aholes so that will NEVER happen! Hell will NEVER freeze 🥶 over again!

I’ve been listening to the Eagles casually for years and only dove into the band’s history lately. Can someone tell me why barely any footage from the 70s of this band are available on TH-cam? The ones I can find are only the ones on the official channel. For such a big band it’s a such there’s not much content available from their prime
