Can we leave the plug cable on the winch controller unit all the time? If yes will it be affected from mud snow rain etc after some time or it will not?
I have my cable zip tied to various spots from under the hood. The receiver end is up by the firewall under the hood (by the brake master cylinder) the plug I have hidden behind the grill behind the winch. I don't recommend leaving it plugged in all of the time. There is the possibility of trickle drain from the battery through the winch itself.
I just had the Zeon XD10s installed in my new Gladiator. I have not used it yet, but does the wireless hub receiver have an internal battery ? I don't leave mine plugged into the winch so if you don't have a battery in it then I guess you have to pair it to the phone each time you plug it into the winch ?
sorry i have a lot of questions...the app can it work in landscape mode?...all of the winches you guys have which one of them can hold the longest spool of rope or cable? and could the hub work with that winch?
super bummed this is currently (as of may 2023) your only wireless option for the VR EVO due to the open recall. Call me old fashioned, but dicking with a phone in mud and or crazy terrain & gloves is an accident waiting to happen .. I hope somebody fixes the flub and gets the 2 tactile buttons on a stick back on track.

I found the answer, when I got to the page to "name it" I then opened up my bluetooth and copied the name of the hub from there and pasted it to the "name it" page in the hub app. It instantly opened up and I was able to use it, after the initial frustration with that I was instantly happy with the product. works flawlessly. I was using my VR EVO to pull a VW campervan up and out of a driveway with my Rubicon. Love the winch and love the control!!@@warnindustries
I got to play with this early during the testing phase. It works great! Stoked to see it come to market and now have a permanent place on my GX460 with Warn Zeon 10-S.
Warn sent me this WARN HUB Receiver so that I would have a way to operate my brand new VR EVO 10S Winch that I recently purchased which came with a defective and bad winch controller. The controller was corroded on the inside and the wires came loose making it dysfunctional. WARN was unable to replace the original wireless remote controller with a new one so I have no ability to use or operate my new winch with factory remote. Although I appreciate the new WARN HUB Receiver because it lets me use my cell phone as the remote, and it works great, I only see this product secondary option for using the winch. I don't want to have to rely on this as my primary way of operating the winch because I don't want to take the chance of using my cell phone outside the vehicle in a bad situation such as mud, snow, water crossing, rocks, brush, etc., where I might accidentally drop my phone and either loose it or damage it. Cell phones are slippery and fragile, and when your hands are wet, this is not a good idea. On the other hand, if the new WARN HUB Receiver had its own durable remote to go along with it so that you didn't have to use your cell phone, (which would essentially replace the original defective remote in the first place), this would be an absolutely fantastic option. On a second note, in case you are wondering, two days ago, right after I receiver in HUB Receiver in the mail, I received a Recall Notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) directing me to stop using the WARN winch and that the entire line of WARN VR EVO winches has been recalled due to bad quality remotes that are subject to corrosion when wet. The vendor I purchased my winch from through AMAZON has been great and had already shipped me a new winch to replace the first one, which should be here any day. Just not sure what to do about the recall.
Can you run 2 wireless receiver hubs on one phone app? I have 2 axon winches (front and rear)

is the load sensing just amp draw? I would prefer to see amp draw, or the ability to change in app setting.

Will there be a hub for the Platinum Zeon?
Since Platinum already has a smart remote, there won't be.
Bummer!the remote won't hold a charge for more than a week. How about for the 5000 warn?
You need to make one for the Zeon platniums, sick of going to my wireless control and it being flat
Unreliable!!!
Open up and replace batteries with better units
Does it work with VR evo 8s?
They said at 1:18 that there's a receiver that works with the VR EVO. Here's the link for it: www.warn.com/hub-receiver-truck-winches-103945
Yes it will.
I'm in the Seattle area do you have a store or an affiliate that I can visit to pick one up

Does it work on the old vr model
Yes.
@@warnindustries thanks 👍

Very very funny vedio
Which one do i need for a older 8274-50 3 pin?
Unfortunately HUB won't work with a three-pin control box or winches with solenoids. You'll need a five-wire system and a contactor.
@@warnindustries I hear there was a upgrade kit to 5 pin. Do you have a part number?
@@digitalbilly You'd need 102339 (control box). The wired remote for that is 83665 if you wanted one of those too.
