18వ శతాబ్దంలో వచ్చిన తెలుగు, కన్నడ, తమిళ భాషల్లోని భక్తిసాహిత్యం తిరుమల ఆలయ గొప్పదనాన్ని, వైభవాన్ని ఘనంగా పొగిడాయి.
కానీ చారిత్రిక ఆధారాలు ఆకాలంలో తిరుమల, తిరుపతి ప్రాంతాల్లో జరిగిన ఎన్నో దుర్ఘటనల్ని వివరిస్తాయి. ముస్లిములు, బ్రిటీషువాళ్ళు చేసిన ఘోరాలను వినిపిస్తాయి.
గందరగోళమయమైన 18వ శతాబ్దపు కాలంలో తిరుమల, తిరుపతి వాటి చుట్టుపక్కల ప్రాంతాలపై ముస్లిములు, మరాఠాలు, బ్రిటీషువాళ్ళు అనేకమార్లు దాడి చేసారు.
18వ శతాబ్దంలో తిరుమల, తిరుపతి ఆలయాలు ఎదుర్కొన్న దుర్భర పరిస్థితులకు 17వ శతాబ్దంలోనే బీజం పడింది. ఆ బీజం మరేదో కాదు - విజయనగర సామ్రాజ్య పతనమే!
ఆకాలం నాటి కైఫీయత్తులు, ఇతర రచనల ఆధారంగా 18వ శతాబ్దం నాటి ఆలయాల దయనీయ స్థితిగతుల్ని మనం అంచనా వేయవచ్చు. - บันเทิง
మన పూర్వీకులు మన ధర్మాన్ని కాపాడటానికి వారు చేసిన త్యాగాలు దుర్భర కష్టాలు వింటుంటే కన్నీరు ఆగటంలేదు 😭😭. వారి త్యాగాలు కారణం గానే ఈ రోజుకి సనాతనధర్మం బ్రతికి వుంది, ఆ పుణ్యాత్ములు పాదములు త్రాకిన ధూళి రేనువులుకి సాష్టాంగ నమస్కారములు🙏🙏🙏వారి వాళ్ళనే నేను ఈ రోజు హిందువు ని అయ్యివున్నాను, శ్రీ వేంకేశ్వరస్వామి పూజ చేచుకో గలుగుతు న్నాను, వారే లేకపోతే మా తాత ముత్తతలు నీ కూడా పాసాండు లుగా మర్చేచేవారు.. Thank you so much sir for sharing this hidden history of our ancestors who sacrificed their life and fought their best to defend atrocities against our dharma from the cruel invaders.🙏🙏

I am not sure how much history you have read but from your comment it appears that you haven't read much.
Before British ruled India, Tirumala temple was enjoying lordship over hundreds of villages whose yields were running into several thousand Panams (the then currency). Apart from this annual revenue accrued from the temple owned villages, it was receiving monetary endowments from the kings, queens, noblemen, merchants, mathadhipatis & citizens as well. Again these amounts were running into several thousands of Panams per year.

Each Narpanam had a weight of 3 gms minimum. Now you calculate the monetary value such a huge donation could value today. And mind you, this information is based on the stone inscriptions put up in Tirumala & Tirupati Govindaraja temple.
Likewise there are 100s of inscriptions that tell how rich the temples were before British took over the administration and subsequently took away the lands & villages donated to them by the erstwhile rulers.

@@nagbabu5474 Read "The Tirumala Temple" by Dr. N. Ramesan, an IAS officer who also was the Chairman of the TTD Board in late 70s.
There are chapters written about the 'Currency, Banking, Irrigation, Taxation, Food offerings & other Economic Conditions of Tirumala temple" during Vijayanagara period, post-Vijayanagara, during Carnatic Wars and also under the management of East India Company.
These chapters will tell you the facts which are the basis for this video.
For your ready reference, I quote from the book (as I can't attach the screenshot here):
"the first Nawabs of Arcot settled the revenue of Tirupati by farming it out to persons specifically appointed[...]who had to pay a part of the revenues collected yearly [...] revenues assessed in pagodas from lands etc., and the other sums collected from the contributions of pilgrims [...]. This would make a total demand of nearly two and half lakh of rupees annually." [Page No. 437)
Read the entire book and the chapters that I have mentioned, and you will know the facts.
