  • Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to my viewers!
Adventure 8 is a Doppelmayr D-Line detachable eight-person chair constructed for the 2023/2024 ski season, and services all of moonstone.
It replaced a POMA detachable six-person chair in a new alignment. The lift starts at the base near Promenade, and follows the path of the old venture chair (a BM lifts quad removed in 2018) to the summit.
The new lift is not only the first D-Line lift in the province of Ontario, but also the first eight-person chair as well. It is packed with technology including a loading conveyor, heated seats, and a direct drive. It also is the first Doppelmayr installation at MSLM.
    Stats:
    Length: 2138 ft
    Vertical: 476 ft
    Drive: Bottom
    Tension: N/A
    Towers: 8
    Chairs: 45

The original Adventure Express is going to Lakeridge.

Of all the lifts I've ridden, Heavenly Mountain's Olympic Express is the closest to this lift due to clockwise 90 degree loading.

Such a neat and overkill lift at the same time 😂 I absolutely love the L shape loading, but hate the fact that the lift is so short

Such an overkill for a small area. I get the "glitz and glamor" for an 8-pack chair but my god it's not even a 3 minute ride.
I do like the bottom terminal design however, it's an interesting setup for loading.

The closest thing I've seen to this is the Mountaintop Express at Vail, which has a wider turnaround at the bottom because when built, the lift had 90 degree loading with a carpet, which is how it operated for the first few years before they decided to convert it to traditional in-line loading around 2016.

Saw this thing today in action...It's impressive. The L-shaped terminal serves a great purpose in that spot. I wonder if they will add one of these to the St Louis Side as well
