Hey man! Great video. I’ve been thinking about doing this for awhile now. My 14 Tundra only has the heated mirror feature and no turn singles. My question is, does Toyota still wire the mirror for a turn signal even though my particular truck doesn’t have that option? Thanks.
Did you wire your back up wires so you get the light on the tow haul mirrors to light up when in reverse? I wanted to see how you did that wiring process. Thanks!
Hey man, I install one on my 2020 tundra it looks great and all but I have one problem as when I tap in to taillight 10amp fuse to supply power everything just like every other TH-camr do but mine the LED running light on the mirror does not comes on at all. Is there any other fuse source I can tap in?
Bro so like my tundra and from what i can tell yours.the stock mirrors had no light on them before correct. And ur new tow mirrors do. And the factory cable still power's the lights on your new mirrors no extra wiring
That's absolutely correct. My stock Tundra mirrors only had Blind Spot & Heated mirror features. The new tow mirrors have Blind Spot, Heated/Cooling and Turning features. The Toyota factory cables provides power for the mirror turn signals.
Got them installed but my BSM light stays on solid on dash and says BSM malfunction. Can’t find any videos or info on what to do to correct. Do you know?
It sounds like the mirrors that you purchased has the BSM wiring installed incorrectly for your truck year. My understanding is that the BSM uses the Purple and Pink wires which are located on the far right (pins 9 & 18). It may be possible to get a pin extractor tool to pull the pins out from the OEM harness connector and then reconnect the pins to see if that may help. Researching some Tundra forums: Tchase had a similar issue with BSM and swapped his pins to resolve his issue. Look at his post #228 here: www.tundras.com/threads/upgrading-to-power-fold-mirrors.12452/page-8#post-1444316 You can see that for his passenger side mirror he swapped pins 9 & 18. You can also return the tow mirrors for refund and purchase from a reputable seller/business such as BoostedAuto. My BSM does not work did you have to do something different for it to work?
Did you make a video on how to connect the wires for the Reverse lights or spotlights From the Towing mirrors
Do the mirror leds come on with the parking lights and blink when actuated?

Is a blind spot a switch they sent or was it apart of your truck when you got it?
Tj, it was built into my factory Toyota mirrors. I have the 2017 Tundra Limited edition.

The doors are super easy to disconnect it takes less then 10 seconds to take the cable off the door way easier to work with the door off
