Plenty more to come in 1051AD of course, some more balancing, hopefully more units to flesh out rosters and other bits but the Medieval city battle maps are a seriously amazing piece of effort by the team to bring a ton more immersion to the battles. I can get behind this mod. It still keeps the viking age alive since it doesn't end until 15 years later. I loved the early medieval ages instead of the late ones.
I’ve somehow managed to get a consistent 70-75fps, so it’s doable. It should just be fixed by CA of course but there are workarounds. Shadows and AA are the ultimate performance killers
@@mattc1274 I have this problem, where the shadows are flickering like crazy when i move the camera even a little bit (battles and campaign). Do you have that problem?
@@XVRKMOVIES @Dusty7460 what are your graphics settings like? I suggest reducing shadows down to performance. Grass and Water Quality to performance (for some reason there is even a water graphics layer on land battles). Anti Aliasing to a minimum (I have it off) and texture filtering to 4x ( it’s a misleading setting and it does not impact your visuals for units up close for example but rather how your units appear from a distance-even then the change is very minimal). There are also performance guides where you can learn how to edit the script file and boost performance that way (which I have also done). There are also a couple of mods for battle and blood performance in the workshop which I subscribed to.
Sadly it's still a placeholder. No working towers, you can see vanilla wooden towers instead. No gates for those cool looking castles. Outer walls are just a retexture of vanilla walls.
Hold up what happened to the mk 1212 team? I played their mod once or twice but that's it since it doesn't really catch my eye but I don't hear any news on the mk 1212 or its team
@@NordicJarl27 it's stuck in development hell and has been for a while now. Working on a major update for 2+ years now that never seems to get closer to release. There's still basic problems like broken agent actions that have been in the mod for 5 years.
Good things take time, especially since people usually have jobs and a life to live. In this video there's also nothing that impressive honestly, since all these good things look also quite messy/buggy. Be patient and the big update will come

This demonstrates to what length total war modders are prepared to go outdo CA one way of the other 😅 They’ve been doing this since Rome 1. Fantastic cinematography man!!!
I always loved the ammo domini unit mods, and this another step up, I can finally play in early medieval England without it looking like the city’s are from 60 bc so with the wooden huts of vanilla lol
Would be fantastic if there was a mod that does something about unit blobbing.. We got so many cool mods in different eras, espacially medival. But it is always the same with unit behavior and dumb siege battles...

@@TheTerminatorGaming thanks! AD Team's mods just on the another level of truly medieval atmosphere, i just can't wait to finally play 1051. This new city maps really makes THE difference. I think that changing of the og voicelines would be a cherry on top. If only this were possible...
Hey, that looks outstanding! But I think TW Atilla still belongs to the parts of the series where you can't change the UI size or ? That makes the game unfortunately unplayable for people like me who play on a >31 inch monitor :( or am I wrong ?
As much as I like 1212AD, the game they chose (TW Atilla) is severely limited in optimization and nothing can fix it except CA, but the chance of that happening is smaller than a virus.
Thats not necessarily a bad thing because It's the competition that makes them work harder for their passion. That's why the modders make the total war game series much better because do it out of love not just business
They have been done, but there’s still work to do. City walls gates are very European, as is the keep. Maybe it was like that I’m not sure but it removes the islamic vibe really
@@TheTerminatorGaming very good to hear Yeah but it would kinda make sense in some areas, because some of them could be former Roman ruins, or walls so perhaps they wouldn't have gotten rid of them. But in the other sense, have they been revealed yet?

Do you need need the Atilla dlc's to play this mod.
Mk1212 modders should ask permission to retake those updates in their mod so they could go faster and focus on essential (new map)

hey can you do an update on the last alliance mod
Looks amazing. Has this been released yet?
No. Unless you paid them on Patreon.
BUT is playable yet? or not? because i don't see in steam workshop
It is only released for patreon subscribers. Full mod for steam should release by the end of summer if I could guess.
why are people making another medieval mod for attila? why not just join up with the 1212ad modders?
sadly it's human nature
most likely a minor difference in vision or leadership issues
