Unpopular opinion: Y’all gotta stop being afraid of a lil frizz , obviously fresh braids look great but frizzy braids are fine too. I usually wait two weeks then I’m washing my hair in braids leave in conditioner a bit of oil then Durag for the day. No they won’t look first day fresh but your scalp will thank you
I got braids today and the braider told me to but this mousse, should i take it daily when i wake up and durag after for a bit, thats all? Will it not look greasy or something adter a while if i do it everyday?
@kozcat how many times a week should I moisturize my braids? Is this something I can do daily or like 3 times a week? Never mind you mentioned it in the video I just had to listen. great tutorial thanks for the info, I just got my braids done recently
Look I just got cornrows last week and my scalp has been irritated/itchy af. It’s not tight or anything but I can see a breakout along some of the rows. Any suggestions?
I would say you still want to use a durag to keep the top neat and together, but you might also want to layer a bonnet on top of that to keep the rest of your braids neat
I only detangle my hair once a week, and then throughout the week I’ll finger detangle it. This way, I’m not adding too much stress to it. If your hair gets tangled easily it’s fine to detangle every day. You just want to make sure that you’re properly detangling it starting from the ends and working your way to the root. But in your case, I’d say if you need to, once a day should be fine, if you find your hair being tangled again throughout the day finger detangle it
I recommend keeping them in for at least one month, then taking them out and letting your hair rest for around a week. After that, you can feel free to get your hair braided again This just allows your hair time to rest and not be under any stress
@@90sprinceofcrime67 i was wondering the same thing. My braids been in for 2 weeks now nd my hair is starting to flake a little. Not as bad as when I had twists but only oil my scalp three times a week. Idk if I should wet it THEN oil.
Every 2 weeks, they will become frizzy, but you can mitigate as much as possible by adding mousse and oil after and tying a TIGHT durag on your head then on the lowest setting of a blow dryer slowly drying your hair with the durag on.
I be fucking UP my cornrows after like a week lol so this was very helpful. Kinda why i like braids, plaits better since they look fine still like dreads when they do frizz up
My hair grow so slow that point that I’m right now after one year and 6 months I think It took u 3 months what can i do about it, plus I follow all ur steps

I thought that you were supposed to conditioner on your hair everyday. But your also suppose to leave products until ur next "wash day" IM CONFUSED PLEASE HELP!!!
