glad to find something in my generation i can show my kid's and don't have to go back to the 60's & i'm only 29. They ROCK!!!!!!!! O and thank you TH-cam for mumford with my coffee.. It's gonna be a good day tatter!
The banjolin song, the first part of this video, seriously needs to be in a musical museum. Its so raw, and their talent makes the sound coming from an alley that much better. This video is fucking beautiful.
Don't care much for commenting but the Gents & Johnny deserve highest praise for this soul-stirring performance. I'm so very proud that these are my contemporaries, as this brand of music has clearly won our hearts and minds. Réveille mon âme! Long live the Everyman.
Everytime I don't feel like doing my french homework, I listen to this, and then back to work I go with a huge grin! :) Mumford and Sons, inspiring college students everyday...
Incredible. The sheer power that vibrates off of these musicians. No need for stage performances, these guys are at their best at random street corners, alleyways and window balconies!
there's a moment at about 1.00 that just makes me feel happy. It sounds like there's an orchestra there, and then you see them all there with their instruments... god. No words can describe the amount of love I have for this video. *favourite*
Every time I watch this and every time the camera man briefly passes by Johnny on the violin in the Banjolin Song (bout 1:50) I get a big ol' lump in my throat. The way he plays it with the Gents is sooo beautiful.
From what I'm hearing: "Dans ces corps, nous vivons. Dans ces corps, nous mourons. Où tu mets ton amour, tu mets ta vie" And of course: "Réveille mon âme"
imagine looking out the window to your backyard and mumford and sons starts singing a beautiful song in your language just for you! what an amazing video!
I've just woke up . Little bit sad faced because it's quite early. But then i heard these tracks, my face is in a happy position and it wil be like that trough out the entire day # mumford and his sons are the best
OK, so I'm a pretty str8 guy, in Texas, and gotta admit I got semi-wood watching this. Perfect videography to pull you in, Mumford & Sons great lyrics, and the AMAZiING Johnny Flynn (wry smile as Marcus grinds thru the French =i priceless). I wish Mumford/sons, Johnny and Laura Marling would come tour the US together after Johnny finishes his Shakespeare gigs at the Globe.
this was far too much for me to bear... too much love, too much superbness... It has to be a wonder. a dream. an illusion. This cannot be real, can it?
its just great to see some real folk bands making it big time. These guys, Dry the River, Johnny Flynn. All huge inspirations to the music that our band makes. and many others I'm sure. I hope that if you enjoy this music you will enjoy ours as well!
This is the classiest thing I've seen in a long time. Of course when I play German renditions of songs from my nu-metal ska jazz fusion band I get a ticket for "disturbing the peace". psh.
6 people didn't think they could be loved again :/....but over 2000 were glad to be themselves and use their hearts once. Over 2000 people decided to be a man/woman and love the person they adore :)
Mumford and Sons are in a class all by themselves! Hard to describe them, because they move me like no other! Wish I was that girl looking out the window! *SIGH*
Johnny Flynn is so multi-talented!

Mumford and Sons' music makes me so damn happy. If I could pick a band to score the soundtrack to my life it would be these bros.
❤❤❤

Mumford's voice is really something else. Wow!
Everytime I don't feel like doing my french homework, I listen to this, and then back to work I go with a huge grin! :) Mumford and Sons, inspiring college students everyday...
These are real musicians. I'm glad they still exist. :)
Mumford & Sons music just makes me genuinely happy, no matter what!
Real music with real instruments is so refreshing to hear
These were the days man.. the english folk explosion, i was lucky to see them tour a few times at the time and all their supporting acts
Here after watching Lovesick and going on a deep dive on Johnny Flynn. Thanks for uploading this gem, kind soul!

The harmonies are exquisite, I love these guys!

Still love this song and performance 9 years later….
imagine walking down that street and just stumbling upon this, you'd think you'd died and gone to folk heaven
not only does it sound beautiful but it looks so pretty. this is the kind of world i long to live in
how does this not have more views - i've been watching this video from time to time for a few months! it never seems to lose it's magic.
this is the best video I have ever seen. It makes me so happy!
thank you Mumford and sons and Johnny Flynn!
Dans ces corps nous vivrons, dans ces corps nous mourrons, où tu mets ton amour, tu mets ta vie...
Beautiful......simply beautiful.
I didn't think this song could get any beautiful than it already is...then they just had to go and sing it in French. This is amazing.
And I fell in love with this band all over again.

so true, simple, perfect
I've just had some sort of biblical experience listening to that
They're just so wonderful. I loved how they sang in french.
I love Mumford & Sons. So lucky to have had the chance to meet them back in 2010.

just knowing that they can play that kind of music on the spot blows my mind.
Thia is literally the 30th time I watched this video today. If I could I would thumbs this up A BILLION TIMES.
Those five guys sound like more than five voices and less than five voices at the same time. Magical and purely amazing.
I've just woke up . Little bit sad faced because it's quite early. But then i heard these tracks, my face is in a happy position and it wil be like that trough out the entire day # mumford and his sons are the best

if i was that woman, i would literally be a mess of tears on the floor. how is she so casual?!
man, every time i hear this... i can't even describe the feeling.
I feel a lot better listening to this after crying over a great book. :)
I love how he smiles in the beginning.
johnny flynn rocks that fiddle
I'm so in love with their music.
Now I know what a dream sounds like. This is heavenly epic!
Awwh :) It was amazing. Best band i've ever seen live.
I wish I was the woman in the video! All of these gorgeous, talented (mainly Johnny Flynn) men!! So jealous!
As always, this just makes me so happy & makes me shiver! So amazing.
i don't know how to handle so much beauty all at once
listen to this everynight before i go to sleep.. does wonders
My favorite things in life: Mumford & Sons (awake my soul being my favorite song), and Johnny Flynn. You can imagine my reaction when I saw this.

Best version of Banjolin I have seen.
omg a private show only for you of mumford and sons is like a children dream for me (:
Didn't know Jonny played the violin. Lovely stuff!
I can't believe only 414K people have watched this video! It's the BEST!!
Are you serious, he broke out in French too. Man, the talent that GOD has poured into these guys. Best band this side of Heaven!
This is the classiest thing I've seen in a long time. Of course when I play German renditions of songs from my nu-metal ska jazz fusion band I get a ticket for "disturbing the peace". psh.
This video is my favourite thing to ever happen.
И это здорово ребята! Когда умеешь сделать хорошее и подарить другим. ❤️🙏

I love the banjolin song so much. I wish they'd bring it back to live shows along with feel the tide.

This video makes me happy in ways unexplained..
They sound just as good in french.. I love it :)
This is the best version of the song. Oh, how I wish they'd record this version for an album.
lol johnny looks like the most innocent boy drafted into a band of drunkards in this video
+Ilan M He kind of is... And he outplays any of these dudes.
when im sad, i listen to this, and im not sad afterwards.
Dans ce corps nous vivons, dans ce coeur nous mourons..... où tu mets ton amour tu mets ta vie
I just CANT understand, why people can dislike this O_O
Ben relaxes there in his corner ^^
haaach, they're so cool :)
Johnny Flynn ft. Mumford & Sons
wish i had a random house, with a random window, from which i could hear this being played in my random garden too
