- A magical moment during Johnny Flynn's encore in which Marcus Mumford came onstage, learned Eyeless in Holloway and then played Eyeless in Holloway. The show was at Emo's in Austin, TX on Tuesday, November 2, 2010.
It was indeed magical to experience this from three feet away.
Love Johnny Flynn. Talented, great smile, unassuming in spite of his musical & acting talent. He would be the perfect friend.
oh my gosh johnny flynn and marcus mumford how much more amazing could this get?:)
Only if the superior Laura Marling joined them.
He just got up there, learnt the song, played it with Johnny. I didn't think I could love Marcus any more than I already do, but oh was I wrong! Props to Johnny for writing an amazing too ;)
A literal gem - thank you to the kind soul that documented it.
You're very welcome.
I come back to this video every couple months for years now. such a gem
I love how one person goes 'YES', gets me every time :')
Was there ever a greater combination than these two? I think not.
How young they look!...still gorgeous now those 2 lads...love ye both❤️🙏
Johny is 27 here...now he is 41
This is truly a gem.
Johnny is so talented and SUCH a sexy beast!
....yet humble
Johnny is AWESOME !!!!!
So jealous. Must have been incredible to be there!
My two favorite musicians ever!!!
doesn't this just bring a smile to your face? :)
2 great young talents!
they are both beautiful.
The concentration on Marcus' face :')
'Just learning the song' xD Ohh this is wonderful.
i love jhonny! i love mumford! so perfect!
Love how he is leaning over at points during the song picking up the cord changes on the fly. All the more impressive is Marcus is playing a dobro (looks like anyway), and Jonny is playing a banjo. Very cool, thanks so much for putting up here.
This is brilliant. I haven't seen Johnny Flynn or Mumford & Sons live but I want to SO BAD!
Me too!!!
So brilliant!!long time ago but never get tired of this...such a happy tune!!😍❤️🙏

Show) to see how diverse he is, and hear great poetry in his lyrics.

Love the twang of that resonator
the fact that marcus learned the whole song in under 3 minutes
just...
jodie brooksbank most songs (especially songs like this) are based on the same structure. Any musician can do this very easily. Or. Any musician should be able to do it haha
Yeah I haven't even played for more than a few months yet some how I could play this
Great music
Love this
sooo brilliant!
Oh how i wish this day was then
I love watching the live videos just to see them mess around! :D

WOW.
Where the fuck was I when this was happening. I think I died a little inside because I was not there. This was happening on my birthday...and I was an hour away in Waco. Why did my soul not lead me to this show. I'm heartbroken.
he was unbelievable at leeds
Holy crap...
@LilLexiGirl101 I know, right?!?! like my two favorite artists in the world!
So much fucking talent!
'You have no idea what's gonna happen'
Me: HELL YEA
@Marianag812 If you've been playing a long time and the song isnt' too complicated, it's definitely doable. Not easy. But Marcus can sorta follow the other guy's lead.
LoVe :)

2:50 beginning
@OmegaDallen Yay! Someone heard our McClintock reference.
2:53... YES! someone likes this song a little bit..?
Normally strumming the banjo is a cardinal sin of playing the instrument, but this song does a pretty good job of it.
2:50
beginning at 2:50
2:50 it starts.
@LiveForMusic777 dont forget mandolin!
Where in the fuck was I for this? Why didn't the universe tell me this was happening? And on my BIRTHDAY for God's sake. WHYYY
aha 5:50 marcus realises that he should be strumming :D
I'm pretty sure he had never played the song before and learned it there and then so cut him some slack.
P.S. I don't mean to sound rude
@@closingyak17894 You are right. But 8 years ago man. Cut me some slack!
@@louisdebmusic yeah sorry I had no intention of sounding rude or being rude
You sound like the girl who shouted 'come back to canada!' at a leeds gig?
Why are some people perfect at everything? :[
Agree
Angelic Hillbilly.
@courtneyleighhowell As do I my friend. Oh what would give for just a 10 min lesson from Johnny. But the worst part of my dream is that'll necer happen cause I'm in America. :(
@thefrogger18 I wish that was me! But it definitely wasn't :(
brb buying a banjo and a marcus if possible ok cya
no way... hahah!
Pewdiepie? He plays a good banjo!
Thumbs up if your pretty sure Marcus was drunk! XP I'm pretty sure he was.
This is a great song and I love these guys but every time I watch this I get annoyed by the lame high five at the end. Such a let down.
