Totally relate to feeling lost in your 20s. It’s wild because I think we all (pretty much) feel this way but yet there’s this expectation to have it all together. As a single woman in her mid 20s, I can say no matter what life stage we’re in, we’ll probably always long for something because we are truly longing for eternity with Christ!❤️

I love the quote "There are years that ask questions and years that answer," and I feel like you've been in a year that ask questions! I live in Dallas too and find the apartment content very relatable, definitely do not think you should worry people will grow disinterested because it's just refreshing to watch someone live a realistic similar stage of life!
Michelle, you are doing more than so many of us are doing. You've achieved so much and I get that it's so hard not to compare yourself with other people. I get like that too! I'm like "wow, I should've bought a house at 25 like them" but I'm no where near that stage. We have to remember that our journey is OUR journey. My husband and I are very stable people, and at 32/33, we have owned 4 different homes. You can sale a house any time you change your mind. People get too attached to homes. Its a lot of work, and no you don't lose any money (you make money) if you do it right :) So, don't feel tied down ever! Doing what feels good in the moment is probably THE CHOICE.

I can really relate to your situation. My husband is in the military, so that means being ready to move every 3 years. That situation plus wanting to buy a house AND thinking about kids in the near future is alot and I tend to worry so much. I’m at a point in my life where I’m trying to trust in God that everything will work out in his timing. Mid 20s are hard.
Love your honest speech, I'm not a native speaker, but your words mean so much to me. They remind me that sometimes I just have to trust the process and that not everything has to be fixed or perfect immidiatly. That sometimes it's ok to not have a plan and just believe that god will guide me.
Thank you for this video. Like everyone else I can also relate to feeling lost in your 20's. One thing that i've learned through this process is to not rush into anything. A house will always be there and everything will happen at the right time! You just have to trust the process. Keep doing the things you love and I know it will guide you in the right direction.

My husband and I bought a house earlier this year when we got married and it’s definitely not our dream home, but I’m so glad we got a house! I think buying one is worth it instead of waiting for the perfect one with a lot of land!

I like the everyday vlog (errands, eating, doing small things like getting coffee/working out) because it's relatable and makes me feel like I'm not alone! Everyday life can be mundane, but I feel better knowing other people are doing similar things to me.

I love how open and honest you are Michelle! Even though I’m in a different stage of life - graduating nursing school in May - I still can relate to wanting to move somewhere new. I’m so ready to get out of my apartment and the lease ends in May but I don’t know where I’ll end up next. Thinking about either moving to California or staying in Maryland but I might have to move back home with my parents while job searching… so much unknown but God has a plan for both of us & I know it will be great. Hang in there! 💗

You can always buy what you can afford and later move somewhere with land. If things go well, retain the first home as a rental.

Great video and content Michelle. You are crushing it on TH-cam. We need to keep in mind nothing is as extremely permanent as we make it out to be when we are uncertain. You can buy property, dive into a new job, change your routine and always change later on. It’s not as easy as saying it but you’re so capable, you’ll be more than fine no matter what U decide even if you change your mind later on. Happy holidays! 🎉

Michelle, trust me, you don’t have to put that pressure on yourself to “have the new things” in order to change the surroundings for your videos. I think that’s probably the main reason most of us enjoy watching you so much: you’re content with what you have and don’t chase after the next new thing. And you’re confident enough to “admit” that. You’re very authentic and relatable in that way.
The stuff you’re grappling with is super common! Now in my 30s, I still don’t know anyone who feels 100% fulfilled or certain in every single area of their life (work, family, social life, etc). I don’t think someone needs to necessarily travel or live in different places to get this awareness, but travel may give you some new perspective or even just help you become more comfortable and confident with your own choices and interests. I’m excited for you, wherever you’re headed in life!

Also, I don't know if there are any TH-camrs/podcasts/resources on what helped you decide and pick up and move to Dallas (besides your family, that is a deciding factor for me too since I have family in TX), can you share them with me? I am thinking about Austin post-grad and I know the cost of living is significantly cheaper than NYC and Boston (where I am now) and that is the goal, but I would also need a car, so I am so torn!

I have a really bad resting face .. my friends have told me. And for the most part I try to be aware of it but sometimes it takes so much energy to always constantly be smiley and what not just so I don’t have a resting face.
Im a dreamer for sure and sometimes have trouble being in the moment and being grateful for that too! Learning to enjoy the simple things in the present time and life in general. Loved this vlog, felt like I was talking to a friend💛

I can relate. I’m 22 and was diagnosed with thyroid cancer plus dealing with chronic insomnia. It’s been hard but luckily thyroid cancer doesn’t involve chemo and is cured with surgery and radioactive iodine. I have 2 kids and my husband is doing a great job being my shoulder. Gods got us girl. I have been subscribed to you for years and I know you dealt with insomnia for a couple months to a year on your vlog channel. How did you deal with it? The past couple months I only sleep 4 hours super fragmented. I love your advice! God bless you m!
Such a relatable video. I just felt like sharing my fiancé and I just went under contract on a house in Austin after being outbid on so many houses 😫. The prices and market right now is a hard pill to swallow, but i truly believe the higher values are here to stay so you gotta get on the escalator when you can and think of it as a long term investment! Trust that God will lead you where you should be and you do not have to have anything figured out ❤️

The house vs. apartment debate is so relatable. I was looking into buying a house two months ago thinking it would perfectly align with the time I had left on my lease. LOL
Im in my mid-20s and definitely think I should buy a house…. But I don’t know exactly where I want to live yet. And it’s just such a scary thing to do on your own so…… after a draining few months of house hunting, I have decided to renew my lease. If the perfect house comes along, I am willing to break it but am also not rushing into it. Buying a house seems like a huge commitment.

Since you asked, here are my two cents on the housing situation: you say you're not much of a dreamer but when you talked about your dream house you really started glowing and I could tell how happy it made you just talking about it. So I think you should listen to your heart and go for the scenario that would make you most happy, instead of trying to rationalize the possible benefits of buying a house sooner. And who knows, maybe buying land and building a house won't take as much (more) time as you think.
(And side note: the housing market really seems to be sky rocketing right now, so I'm not sure if the benefits of buying a house for the sake of buying soon will outweigh investing in your dream scenario (reffering to you talking about building a house and the freedom it gives you to own land). All in all I just wish to see you live your dreams 🙏).

I think you are over thinking it. Most first time buyers, buy a house that they will stay in for a few years and then move on. It sounds as if you are almost 'skipping a house' by looking at properties with land etc. I'm at a different point in my life (late forties) but I've learned that what you need out of a home will change as you grow, your family grows and most of what you think you will need, you won't. If you find your home doesn't work, then you change it. There is no such thing as a dream home and some people stay in their home forever but very few.

Well hey, I'm 22, never dated before, just started my full-time job after graduating with a BA, and currently live in home because I can't find an apartment in the city I want to move to. So never worry about "being behind" and all that. Everyone is on their own life's schedule.

re: dog greeting you with a toy - we had to train my dog to dot that because she'll frequently bite (i think to her it is 'nipping') when she is excited! she now frantically looks for something when we get home. I am not sure if she understands exactly why we wanted her to do this, but she definitely knows it's something we want her to do and it is so precious every time.
We have a lint roller in every room and in our cars because our golden sheds awfully. But I just love her squishy face

I am a dreamer for sure, but my boyfriend is more similar to you! With moving to England next year for him to go to med school it feels like I have to re-write all of my/our dreams!
