In Exeter thousands upon thousands of new houses have been built in recent years. Yet the main issues, are serious traffic congestion in an already overcrowded road system with no way of extending it, failure to implement any additional infrastructure to cope with these extra houses, including the worst NHS dental access in the country, no new GP surgeries ( just more patients loaded onto existing surgeries making it nigh on impossible to get an appointment at all), water provision and purification issues on an already groaning water company, issues with the loss of green spaces for residents. Plus local, county and central government not being willing to engage in good faith with local people. Yes we need to build more housing for sure, but new towns with the proper infrastructure built into the design is the way forward as road, medical, dental and local resources would be available within these designs.
this is ridiculous .The major problem is the service charge .I think the service charge should be administered by the borough.Every estate should have separate account but minor things like gardening ,basic repairs .The private company ripe you off and you have to pay 6000£ for taking acre of land .After houses are not affordable .I would be gland to be paid 1000£ for a couple of hours a month .Service charge should be not 200£ but 50£ .Can you imagine renting 150£ less ?.I have my flat but this is not belonging to me when I can't control expenses..I:m discouraged to have property
