One of, if not, my favorite podcast to date. Since really following & studying what you all do, I feel like there is another portion to the youth equation.
I'm trying to stay short here.... but I'm finding it's more and more a teaching thing with the 11/12/etc... year olds. A LOT of them have the ability to understand and manipulate their fingers, forearm, positioning, timing, etc.. to make a ball do what they want. It's just that 99% of the coaches don't have the tools to show them what they're doing. The Insight is such an important tool. The knowledge gained from you all and how to utilize that tool and share that information with the athelete to make those changes is even more important.
Just being around you all a small amount, pitchstock, etc.. and buying into the specifics of why things work is where the magic is. I believe that once an athelete has basic command that they can start understanding how and why a ball will move, if you have the tools and knowledge to show them and work thru it with them.
I am not seeing a puberty/cycle/maturity starting line. It's individual on the arhelete and their ability to understand what you're trying to share.
Love it guys! Keep it up!
