Wish International still made these reliable beasts unlike the domestic made endless money pits rolling piles of junk they make today. That Scout would make a worthwhile resto project. Nice video ☺️👍

I had a 1976 Scout with the same engine, the V8 firing order stamped on the exhaust manifold! Half a V8 is correct but a good engine!

Put a new engine in it, put a new engine in it and you put a new engine in it. But a nice new - or a nice new dashboard new seats. Since I'm believe in keeping but you wanna make it efficient, you don't want to be sitting there beyond the road with the moon stuff even though you may work on it and put another engine in it in this. But put new or stuff in there and here at least. At least with a with a new engine, a new Craig engine. You can get stuff, new brands, banking, new slap it in there use. I like the internationals from the 70s, a seventies baby give me 7 days. I don't want no 50s. Give me seventy straight seventies

I had a67 cabtop, with the 152, they were 100 horse listed on the tag, which was on the firewall.
Had a75 also, with the 194 -4 cylinder, it was peppy, and then I added the Weber 2 barrel kit/carb. Scouts are great vehicles. Thanks for the video !!

It works great for plowing with the short wheelbase

That would be a great vehicle to have back on the road! Looks like it is in good condition, rust wise. Those things usually are rusted completely out, especially here in New England. Would love to see you put it back on the road!

I recently dug out of a damp barn my dads 1953 r-112 with a 220 sd 6 cylinder that hasn’t been started in about 15 years. It was seized up when I brought it home, but with about a month or so of tlc I got it running . International motors are hard to beat. I changed absolutely nothing on the motor, and it purrs like a kitten.

I did take the engine apart 15 years ago and replace all of the gaskets but reused almost everything and no matter how cold that it got that scout would always start

Man I can't believe I had a 67 Scout that looked just like that except for it was a right hand driver and only two wheel drive but that thing was a beast with some big tires on it the low gears in the rear end and a small block Chevy motor in it out of necessity only because the four-cylinder was completely worn out. It was worn out because it was a US Postal Service truck for a long time. My friend you have brought back so many good memories. I had nothing but fun in that truck down in Southeast Florida when I was in my twenties. Now I'm 63 years old and I still remember that truck like it was yesterday. Sure wished I could find another one of those, as I have noticed a lot of them lately showing up and they're all red almost. Anyhow you take care, and keep doing good things.
