The law for convicts in Norway and most of the European countries is aimed at rehabilitation and the right to move on after the sentence has been served. In many countries with a more primitive, brutal attitude have a criminal law organized for revenge and the right to hate evil. Both traditions place the victims' pain at the center, but this takes two dramatically different approaches.
Norwegian here, arnfinn now lives in a small town called son, hes 85 years old and in bad health, ive seen him several times through the years as my grandmother and my aunt lives in son, he still claims hes innocent, much controveries still surrounds this case today and the courts have declined to take up the case again and most of the people linked to the case are gone or not willing to talk If you have any questions feel free to ask
This guy is full of it, listened to the whole 4 part podcast, he has zero new information, and never had any to begin with that would even contribute to sow doubt about his innocence. I've followed this case for 44 years, and it's an insult to the public Arnfinn Nesset is allowed to try to make one feel sorry for him. Because that's all he's saying, how taxing the police questioning was, how worn down he felt, how thin he got, how he didn't want to eat much, and how challenging it all was for him, him and him! Not a word about how this affected others, and the people who got murdered. All about how sad this all was for HIM!
Heh. There is a new series here in norway that cast a shadow over this case. It airs on 9 april. Sure Will be watching :) good podcast btw, came here to get into the case :)
@@SerialKilling i sure will!! 😊😊 English is not my fist language, but i will try my best to detail it as much as possible :) there have been alot of cases i norway where innocente people have been convicted with no proof. You may also be interested in the scandinavian star accident, who many believe to be an insurance fraud. 159 people where killed in the fire. And you may check out the "wiborg case" where many believe an enginere where killed by high ranking government people. Both of these cases is portrayed in tv series to be aired this year :)

It's frustrating to think that this man was freed after his crimes....let alone after only 10 years... :|

@@GOLDDYNACO Yes imagine how awful the world would be if the guy who killed 100+ wasn't "rehabilitated" and set free

At the same time, we have very few repeat offenders.
