    As a Detroit Lions fan, I could not be happier for him. Great guy and brought lots of success to the Lions. His hiring starts a new era in the Lions franchise. I believe this is the first time a coach from the Lions has been hired directly to a head coach position. Reflects well on the leadership group in the Lions organization. So, you Bears fans, support this guy and you will get something really special from him. Thank you, Ben, and enjoy the ride.

    • @guymerritt4860
      @guymerritt4860 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      I don't mean it unkindly but it feel like he lacks that kinda "it" factor to lead a team - and I wish the best to the guy. I'm sure he's a wonderful person. He's no Dan Campbell, but, who knows I guess?

    • @offtoanotherworld7434
      @offtoanotherworld7434 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@guymerritt4860 yea. you kind of know it when you see it. I just don't see it. And the fact that the GM chose the last "leader" says a bit about his inability to "see it". Right now, Johnson is the hot name. But as a Commander fan, I've seen far too many hot names that didn't amount to shite. So we'll see. Not much being said from players about who Johnson is as a leader.

    • @CB-uo2nx
      @CB-uo2nx 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      He isn't. Not all good coordinators will be good head coaches. Not all coordinators SHOULD be head coaches. It's completely different being a head coach and most coordinators flop at it because they can't concentrate on what they do the best, which is being a coordinator. Most times it is best to just continue doing what you do well. The Lions were paying him a lot of money. More than enough, yet would have paid him more to stay. How much money does one need? It is going to be hard to live down this betrayal and this mistake. The Lions had the best chance they will ever have to go to the superbowl. A season like this one will never happen again. Not even close. And not with their coordinators gone. Those 2 publicity whores took away any remaining crumb of a chance the Lions might have had. I have ZERO respect for either of them

No excuses and Ben's a class act and deserves all the flowers. Good luck in Chi and we look forward to beating you as well. It's going to make it almost a "friendly" rivalry as far as HC go. let this sink in Bear down people, Ben johnson didn't want to be a HC, He has no experience as a HC or with getting a coaching staff together, has never been in the public eye, had a rookie qb in hanlin hooker and he was demoted to 3rd string and replaced by teddy bridgwater. If the bears win 10 games in the next 3 seasons before johnson is fired you should be happy. This is a slow motion train wreck.

    What can he do for the lions that he hasnt already done. Goff shit the bed the defense could stop the commanders at all, thats why we lost.
    Playoffs against a running QB, upu RUN THE BALL!!! By controlling the clock and steering the momentum in our favor.
    They went away and started turning the ball over. It is what it is.
    This is his opportunity to grow as a man, and coach in the division. Be thankful, dont be bitter and jealous.
    He did his job and the players thought it was still the regular season by making mistakes and when you dont stop the other team and let them capitalize on them by scoring you get defeated.
    New challenge for him. Goodluck!
    To lions fans your pain is clear in your negative responses. If your good at math and understand power and control within an organization. He leveled up and hes ready.
    Let it go and remember who made this team better then they have been in a long time, Ben did his job. Many players failed to play clean and their mistakes crippled the teams chances of winning.

    Dxirt bag trader Ben will ruin the next 3 years as head coach. Too big for his britches. Unfortunately he is not ready for the head coach position. Sorry Chicago but you got a turd who was already out the door in Detroit for the money upgrade. Good luck.

  • @avanders457

    A little bit more money in Detroit would have made more sense. He was comfortable. He'd like the owners. His family was comfortable. Don't get me wrong. New opportunities in Chicago could become better for him. But The old if it ain't broke don't fix it. If you're happy, why leave?. He would have made plenty of money remaining in Detroit to take care of his family for the rest of their lives. It's purely human greed and ego that influences decisions. I question some of his decisions throughout his seasons with Detroit but I always supported him and have his back. Unfortunately. Now he is a rival!

    I respect you and you deserve the chance but I think you checked out on Detroit before that game. Not blaming you for all those turnovers, granted Jamo throwing the ball deep was stupid. But as Saint said, we're kicking your ass twice next year. We don't forget you went to a rival. Dont know our coordinators atm but know the players here have a huge chip on their shoulder. We'll see. Thanks for your time here Ben but now you're not Detroit. Everyone VS. Detroit. You know that
