It has something going on with the transmission. He doesn't want to spend the money to go through the possible issues. This is the drawback of having a partner on cars. Shortly after these 2 cars are gone, we are going to start on the 1970 F250.
I tried to explain in the video. There is no way to show it. It is a blind change out. You remove the 1 bolt. Rotate the cover off the hold down flange. Then, pull it away from the transmission. There is an o-ring that helps keep it in place. Once the cap is removed, you can pull the filter out. To install do the reverse.
You can just remove the front tire and then remove a plastic splash shield held on with 3 bolts and have easy access. Also that O-ring around the filter housing should be replaced but it doesn't come with the filter. If it's old and stiff it will leak after re-installing.

I go the 10mm bolt out for the filter but having a hell of a time still trying to get it out. After researching some more it seems the Nissan Versa has the same filter cover. I had noticed that too when i was researching the video. Other people called the strainer the filter and didn't show the filter. Glad the video helped. I hope changing the fluid solves your issues. But how do u install the filter that goes on the side of the transmission the round tube one
