  • This wire spreader rig for jigging is called ebing or tenbin in Japanese, Tadmina تدمينة in Arabic. You can use this to drop very small baits or soft plastics in deep water, or enable you to cast really tiny lures from shore, a very long distance.

    I´ll try this ebing jig from shore. What hook system do you recommend for the jig? been casting or SLJ

      @TheFishingKit  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd put a small fly or soft plastic if you do this from shore. Don't put a hook on the jig.

    no hooks on the jigs? is it basically just used as a weight?

    • @TheFishingKit
      @TheFishingKit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup, it gives action to the soft plastic lon a long leader on the other wnd of the wire spreader - this is especially useful when fishing for fish that are homed in to small bait, but are holding deep.

    Nice rig, i was curious though, whether the short arm would break easily after the 2 rolls (during big fight)? Thanks

    • @TheFishingKit
      @TheFishingKit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The wire im using is 400lb.

    • @aquillae
      @aquillae 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheFishingKit after the rolls on both ends to secure them, you "cut" it by "wiggling" the leftover wire. I was worry that the short section would also break like that.

      @@aquillae nah, it wont. it's not subjected to the same forces because when you reel in the fish, its actually a straight line with the wires not bending back and forth.

    There are probably still a lot of bite on the attractor jig itself.
    It looks very similar to a three way trolling rig that people also use from shore and in certain freshwater rivers. They just use a pencil sinker instead of a jig. They use the three way to present a fly in deeper river pools and from shore for the same reason.

    • @TheFishingKit
      @TheFishingKit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Boon, this is dropped 100m or more. The jig moves as well. A sinker will not move and will not attract. But yes, quite similar to the walker / bottom bouncer rig

      Nice set up, but sinkers DO attract. We get many bluefin tuna on a plain torpedo sinker with assist hooks. Sometimes they eat the weight instead of the bait

    Could I get away with a hook on my jig??

    • @TheFishingKit
      @TheFishingKit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      With This, it's a technique to get a small lure down to when the fish are homed in to smaller bait, or if they are not really biting. We usually try with just the jig, and if they don't respond, drop this down...If they bite with the just the jig alone, this doesn't get used.
