This podcast episode is so interesting, enjoyable, and meaningful. Fearing about speaking in English is one of the major obstacles why many people (including me) hesitate to speak English in the real world. I wouldn't want to be judged by people when speaking English because that could easily get me discouraged. I've never had the opportunity to speak English with natives in real life, and that appears very intimidating to me owing to that I often refuse to get out of my comfort zone despite my strong preference and love for English. One always has or will have struggles with learning anything new, usually exciting, challenging, and beneficial, like language.
When I lived in Hong Kong , I had fear in speaking English but I had more confidence in speaking English once I started working for an airline. Back then, the official language of that company was English, so I had to immerse myself in an English -speaking environment. 😊🎉
