I got lucky to get a pair of 8.5EE Viberg 151X BUMP TOE here in the states. Best boot I ever owned! I found them a easer break in compared to Red Wing 875 in the same size. Thanks for the video.
I thought longly about getting a Probuilder from Nicks for work in Canada. My employer doesn't enforce the CSA policy, but if I had an accident... Then I saw Viberg being in the same quality category, but they slowed the production considerably for their work boots, and they had nothing my size at the moment. I was ready to pay 1000$ for the highest quality boot with the CSA certification and I found the Stump Jumper 8" CSA from Ariat, and they are a beast, suitable for summer and more excellent than any other for winter.
although I do love a good pull on style boot, prior to these two pair I wore Red Wing 3505's for years and was very happy with them, I will say these PWN boots are much better in almost every way except price and don/doff speed
I wore Viberg 151x for 22 years, the staff at Viberg know me from over the years they wouldn't build me a new pair of 151x, sorry Mike we no longer build work boots. I can't wear off the shelf boots like you get from Marks they are complete sh*t. I have wide feet I need 3E boots viberg makes 4E. Like I said I wore Vibergs since 1998 once you go hand mades you NEVER go back. I work in excavation nobody is going to check if you are wearing CSA boots the JK boots with ANSI standards meets CSA standards. I bought a pair of JK superduty comp toes in 2021 hands down the most comfortable logger boot I've ever owned. Vibergs are tough on your feet they are a bear to break in they will never be as comfortable as JKs. JKs break in half the time, Viberg 151 are nail down construction not stitch down like JK. The first pair of JKs I bought were too big I wore them till I cooked the sole off of them. The second pair of JKs are slightly too small at the end of the day they are a little snug, they were in stock I needed a pair of boots. They are the brown with honey vibram, I've never had honey vibram........ damn it I'm loving the softer grippier sold, brings sure footedness to a whole new level. Arrg they wear faster than the regular 100 lug sole. The sh*ts for us Canadians is we take it up the a** on shipping to the USA, for me to send my first pair of JKs in for a rebuild to 11.5 3E ends up to I can get a new pair built for the same price as I''m only paying for one way shipping. The CSA label is horse shit you take one of those off the shelf boots or blundstones you compare the build quality I'd wear JKs any day of the week. As much as I'm a loyal customer to Viberg, JKs got them beat in comfort, I really like the roughout lower SO MUCH more durable. My last pair of vibergs had the bump toe you still get gash marks behind the toe. I've had cuts in my 151 vibergs that worried me the rough out on the JK not even a worry, it doesn't look like rough out from the grease and oil, tougher than smooth leather bottom. I'm a JK man for the fore seeable future, looked at Nicks their ANSI safety rating is too low it doesn't compare to CSA standards. Sorry for the ramble I'm a bit of a boot nerd I ran across your video looking for boot options. I need another pair of boots so I can send my honey vibrams in for resole end of the year or next year.
I would agree the JK's are more comfortable and I would suggest you think about getting your rebuilds done by Canadian cobbler like DeVito Shoe repair or Dimar shoe repair, both very skilled
What a coincindence. I was telling a friend I'd like a pair of Viberg steel toe but they no longer make real work boots. I guess I was wrong. Do you know if they atill make the 51x (look like yours but with the chevron sole instead of lugs)?
im tired of burning through red wing super soles in 9months and am looking at picking up some good boots. But its hard to pull the trigger on 900$ RCMP lookin ass boots lmao
they still make heavy duty boots, just separate web pages For work boots look at: www.vibergworkboots.com/ and workboot.com/collections/viberg for casual boots: viberg.ca/ I have no idea why they have separated like this and I know its confusing

Viberg are the best quality build boots. Most durable and comfortable fit, classic and good looking design
Absolutely agree, they definitely know what they're doing

Nope they don't make the 51x anymore. I guess I'll have to go with the 151x when they have my size.
they don't make work boots any longer

Viberg not make heavy duty boots they only make casual boots that is why you can't find them
they still make heavy duty boots, just separate web pages
For work boots look at:
www.vibergworkboots.com/
and workboot.com/collections/viberg
for casual boots:
viberg.ca/
I have no idea why they have separated like this and I know its confusing
