- Ask anyone, and they’ll likely tell you there isn’t (and can’t be) a “formula” for success.
Everyone has to find their own way. What works for one person won’t work for another. There’s no such thing as “one size fits all.”
But what if that’s not the truth?
What if there are, in fact, formulas people can follow to get predictable, sure results?
Sure, sometimes things go wrong. Sometimes we mess up or things just don’t go according to plan. (Try baking with toddlers, for example… always a precarious adventure!)
But nine times out of ten… we get exactly what we expect.
And why should creating “success” be any different?
Trying to “figure it out on your own” is a good strategy if you just want to have fun. But if you care about getting sure results in a predictable amount of time, then PLEASE -- use a recipe!

I stay late everyday, I don't eat everyday because I'm so busy. I work hard everyday. I've been doing it for 20 plus years and I don't know how many days. Till today I still don't know why I am an auto mechanic LOL keep it real 2021 lol 😆

Awesome video- this year I have struggled to figure out what I want and what I think success looks like. I think I have finally come to it- I want to be happy. To be happy, I need to help people and do something that I love and that I’m passionate about.
It sounds simple enough, but going out to work for myself, to quit my full time job- it is scary.
But each day, I feel like I am inching towards it
So impressive that you’ve figured out the steps to success at such a young age. Please make a video of steps to success for those who are older, let’s say 50 and older. There are challenges that older aged people face that younger people don’t face. Thanks!

I LOVE Startup Society!! Just today, I knew the next step, but not HOW… a few clicks in the action plans and there it was, specific guide to take me through the process I needed, step by step! So cool.
I definitely agree with what you have shared in this video, It took me 3 years to release that and a lot of failures, that You should focus on one thing, and stack things over it and overtime you will going to become successful by doing and finding what's works and what doesn't.
I think you are spot on. Writing goals down helps a lot. Even more, breaking them into steps.

Very inspiring (and as always Gillian ... actionable!) You are such a wonderful role model. My biggest goal this year is to launch my first TH-cam course, and my biggest challenge are my lungs. As a disabled lung patient, although I've learned so much from you and my other amazing mentors and I've finally figured out the secret to getting your videos placed on the first page of Google for free (which is truly amazing!) But I've been holding myself back because I knew that the best way for me to teach was to do live masterclass training sessions but with my lungs, I can't always promise to actually be able to perform each day. It's a very day by day scenario.
My audience have been so kind, and with your motivation and your constant inspiration, I decided to just do it, and .... I did it! Totally exhausted after the first live training, couldn't do any other task for a few days after till my body caught up with me again, but the feedback was so supportive. I had so many of my amazing fans and loyal members send me such kind comments, "good on you Amanda, and no worries, yes you sounded out of breath and we could see you starting to fade near the end but you gave us your all. Thank-you for supporting us, we're here to support you".
The reason I'm sharing this is because I know that you may also be here learning from Gillian but being afraid of your own obstacles. You have to just do it. Just be raw, be authentic, be real and honest and kind. Follow Gillian's amazing lead. Give the goods. Give and you will receive, even if it's not from where you originally gave.
One of the best things you can do to find your own formula for success is to join Gillian's Start Up Society. She really is amazing, and it really is step-by-step, actionable and at your own pace. I suggest you start with your business plan, she has an amazing mini course to get you through that quickly and really hone down on what your goals are that you wish to achieve.

I am ready for success in 2021 but I do think we have to find our own path. Although, there are some things that all successful people do that are the same. That's why I look to people like you for helpful tips. I may not need or use all of them but if there are a few things that help me and things I learn that I can help others then it's all good and worthwhile.

Great post. Provides me with a scaffolding, a guideline, a point of reference like, "Okay I'm in the middle of this figurative ocean looking for the figurative constellation of Orion, since that's the easiest to find with those three stars lined up that make up Orion's belt. With that I can now find the North Star and whatever stars and constellations I need to find."
So you presented Orion. Will I employ it? Where it is applicable. Success to me at this point is different from how many accept it to be. It's more of a sustainable solitude. A freedom and independence from too many components, ingredients, attachments. It's simplicity. Minimalism. Essentials. But somewhere down the line it would be beautiful and magical to have the variance of someone to figuratively dance with down the rest of the line and beyond.
My biggestest goal is to get my first video up on youtube. My biggestest problem(s) is being a perfectionist and I am easly distracted when I hear or think of something interesting so I stop what I am doing and hunt down the new info to see how it fits into my main idea (which is why I stopped to listen to your video). At my age, 76, I have so many things I want to share with people they start tripping over each other.
Thanks so much Gillian , your content is really inspirational , i think success begins when you make quick decision to avoid procrastination as well as you have to be self-confident and motivated although hard obstacles.

My big goal is to become a solopreneur who makes passive income using affiliate sales and an evergreen funnel (or multiple). The biggest thing standing in my way is my doubts, fears and imposter syndrome due to past business “failures” (where I eventually gave up). Basically my biggest thing standing in my way is myself.

Thanks for this. However, you have more or less convinced me that after all, there is no "formula" for "success". As we all know, and as you said, it depends quite a bit on highly individualized goal setting, planning, learning from others, and then trying.

Dear Gillian you ve made a lot of good videos, thank you! but this seems more a video about You, good-looking and all, but you could cut it short and say what the formula is in a third of the time. an important mission for achieving success should be to cut out unnecessary social media time, so please get back to meaty stuff without so much common sense, common place "fillers". don't you agree?
Yet this video is so so generic... I'd prefer if you would pick some area and define more detailed steps to achieve success in it. For example, how to become a successful entrepreneur. How to make sure your startup doesn't fail. What to watch out for when starting your business. That would be more useful
