Absolutely phenomenal drive. Thank you for making this car available to everybody. A proper race car out of the box. Please tell me the 1000 is next. Maybe a 700r with the RX3 motor. I’m not gonna sleep well until I drive one. Cheers!
What's crazy to me is that I can visually see parts in this video where the drive could've EASILY made up shitloads of time, I feel like this isn't even close to the limits of this machine
@@guigui70051 they typically run one driver at a time, or atleast a huge gap inbetween drivers. This isn't like Nascar where there is people hot on your ass
Excellent run!I can see w more seat time this could easily be a 9’ flat run! The engine wanted to give more but the tranny didn’t have it! Telemetry on screen would be great too.
Sometimes there's those millisecond misalignment of gears, hand, foot, and eye coordination that slip you up. My gues is he shifted, but got stuck in-between gears for a hot second and had to re-engage.
quick shifters sense pressure on the shifter rod, and then tell the ECU to Cut injection on the motor for a couple of milliseconds so no torque is being applied when shifting the gearbox.... Rarely either the gas cut is too late or too soon and when you go to engage, you simply can't (it is very rare) or more likely you don't push the rod enough to make the gear change, but enough to trigger the injection cut... It's happened to me once or twice on my GSXR 600 with quick shifter.... on a heavier vehicle probably the gearbox binds a bit stronger and the shifts need to be more precise....
You can actually tell when this gentleman is no longer navigating the course from memory and is instead trying to read the track...it's pretty interesting to see
That was an awesome run. Only thing that I think could have made it a better run would have been to have paddle shifters so that you could have kept both hands on the wheel cornering and still shifted up or down, but all and all that was a great run.
@@barryhallsack8852 darn, that would have been cool to see if they had them. I did know that they had them available, I just didn’t if this was a video from before they started putting them in or if there was another reason. I would love to see them run it again with that set up, guarantee that they would run well under 10!
You can thank people that don't even like racing for the pavement. They claimed the dust was bad for the fish living in a stream near the mountain. They ruined the course when they paved it.
That groundhog at 7:40 though! LOL
He's like those European rally spectators that just can't get close enough to the action.
Hopefully it learned something about the road. That was close.
i was just coming to comment about that
I thought that was a cat
That video is a testament to how good that machine is and how much talent that driver has. Impressive and congratulations on that Fantastic run!
Congratulations! It was fast, dangerous and exciting!

This is still one of my favorite Pikes Peak runs
Just absolutely absurd, and that thing sounds amazing
One of the craziest cars ever! Really inspiring this one!! Love it

Excellent driving on a notorious track

Very cool. Congrats you earned it through all your hard work from mechanics and drivers

Why dont you go get up there in a quicker time than the driver in this video? Dont forget to upload it here.
@@spicyainsley9635second that mate 😂😂😂
Awesome drive Brother..........on the pace the whole way........what about the lizard at 7.42ish ?
I'm pretty sure that was a groundhog. That could have been really bad!
He didn't hit it. Idk about other drivers

Woo got a little loosey goosey around a few of them turns. Crazy 🤘
R.I.P to mr Turbo. (or whatever broke) You shall be remembered for your hard mechanical work. 😁
Driver got more cautious with the gas pedal after almost making scrambled gopher and spinning out
All I can hear is Bill Murray, "Don't drive angry"
Good video and good skills. I believe they left 5% on the table
Excellent 🏁.
dream car checkk ✅
4:55 Why does that happen? Driver mistake?

They were having problems on the mountain with their paddle shifter setup that day, they do have them though

Awesome!, Do you have Twitter and Instagram?
Are they racing these yet?!?
:O so it is a pikes peak car didnt know that this is one of my favorite cars in fh5
And to think that this car is now in FH5 with the Hot Wheels expansion
Imagine this run with more experience, seat, time, and course memory. I could see this eventually breaking and holding course record.
Is this the 450hp tune?
yes
Ari Vatinen 10:47 when it was still dirt... sort of makes all this look quaint. They shouldn't have paved it.

some people want to see pictures of the whole car , especially the engine .

Is this in the South Island of NewZealand
Pikes Peak. Colorado, U.S.
