Hajo seems related to the Kamakhya/Kamakshi temple 🎉 which we know is the spiritual centre of Assam, and one of 24 power places of Chakrasamvara/Vajravarahi🎉 Temple is also related to Hayagriva/Tamdrin ❤
lovely site la 🎉 could this be the alternative or minor spot of Buddhas Mahaparinirvana, coz we know main is at Kushinagar!! actually in the visionary accounts of Chokgyur Lingpa n many more, there seems certain link with lives of Shakyamuni Buddha with this places in Assam! ❤
... the ties are ancient. The Tibetan Buddhist canons, the Tengyur and the Kangyur, assert that the temple at Hajo was the great Caitya built over the cremated relics of Lord Buddha's body. Infact, it would not be wrong to say that Assamese Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism overlap. The Great Master Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa writes about a temple in Assam, as a place of pilgrimage for both Tibetans and Bhutanese since the 14th Century. We need to dig deeper to unearth the close ties.
Thanks PemC for your visit and we hope to continue our continous collaborations and intellectual , development goals with common history.
