Surly Straggler Build Part 3 Wheel Prep and Tyres

We have to put the #surlystraggler by #surly to one side in Part 3. Not because I don't love it, but because I need to prepare the wheels and fit some tyres before we can roll on. I will check the spoke tensions and true the wheels to my satisfaction before fitting some new #schwalbe G One tyres. Tyre selection is a saga in itself for some, I tend to see them as a consumable and I always want to try something that I haven't ridden before, I will ride them, wear them out then try something else next time, perk of the job I suppose. For wheels I have gone with a dedicated MTB wheel, Novatec hub, 23mm OD rims so 40mm tyres shoud be a very nice fit. I like standard silver SS j bend spokes, easy and cheap to maintain the wheel into the future. I like that. Cheers BFD
