@BB Hoody I don't think shield hopping is common as it was, due to the introduction of steadfast, but you're right in this case.
Lol. Most Reinhardts I get matched with don’t even understand the very basics and can be seen off away from the team chasing after a tracer or something.
BB Hoody it’s her job to distract you and draw you away from the team. If you show restraint and stay steady 9 times out of 10 it pays off and that tracer is essentially useless for them. Otherwise if your dps isn’t taking care of the problem, yeah a Winston is a good choice. But most reinhardts get frustrated instantly and think they have to do the DPS’ job for them, so they stop doing their own job.
Lol when I play as a rein I always have to fight versus tracer alone. My team is useless in the 70% of games. If I have good healing ny dps is shit. If good dps my support is shit. Every time at least one role is shit
you should do a "one tip with every hero" series, as in how each hero synergizes with each other on the same team

This is a great idea. And it can include small things too like bubbling a Mei as she comes out of her ice block, doesn't have to be game changing syngergy but enough to make a difference and your teammates to appreciate you

Yes, just use your shield for almost every hero. :P. Honestly though, I wish there were tips about how to keep your shield up - it is so easy to break a Rein shield, especially against a full team.
@@klyntramjattan im a high diamond rein main, for that I just suggest pathing, kind of like how he explained on the orisa part. You want to reduce the distance that you actually have to shield bc his shield isn't as great now. You want to find a path that maximizes natural cover before actually having to use team resources (such as bubble and rein shield) while trying to close distance with the enemy team. A big problem with a lot of people is that they tunnel vision going through main which, in some cases is an ok idea, but in a lot, you're just shredding your resources for nothing and then, if you actually manage to get there, you will have nothing left to fight and you die
@@Krillin1 the other part is when the Team doesn't follow the shield. You see protecting them more than anything
Pro tip: if a hanzo shoots sonic arrow into your shield, you can teamkill by toggling shield and letting the arrow fall on someone's head.

Biggest Reinhardt tip of 2020
You’re primary fire is your hammer, swing, which is also your melee
Meaning, you can assign a voice line to your usual melee button as Reinhardt and show that you’re truly the better Reinhardt in the mirror match
Also works for brig :)
On rein melee binding doesn’t do anything. On brig melee and primary fire are the same action

Kissing the enemy rein is
Outplaying the enemy rein is always the best. Before the sigma nerf for shield came in, I blocked every shatter the emery rein had, even when he tried solo shattering me. It is hands down one of the greatest plays of my life.
For me its just like Zarya having Grav.
Watch the character hold W after using self bubble without a care in the world. Especially after a team fight or two track ults in your head.
Youlll see a rein just W at you. This is something you wanna share with your team when you've noticed you've been in 2 or 3 fights. Tell you Ana to keep a sleep handy or to keep a beat or transcends for it.
My personal tip. Play around him. Hey itn his head. After you win a team fight and space. Try the ol around the back fudge pack. Sneaky up behind a wall and wait for the back line to pass. Getting everyone isn't hard. But I shatter, fire strike, swing and charge the tank into my team. Coordinate this too. GL
Nah blockering shatter then instantly shattering his entire team while he has that half a second of hesitation since you blocked his shatter is the best feeling in the world.
DarkRoads Blocking their Shatter, holding your Shatter for a second because they expect you to do exactly this, then laying one down in their face when they drop their shield. Did this yesterday, awesome feeling.

2:35 i actually had no idea that you could shatter the hog when ulting with the new buff. previously i would try to shatter but got stuck in the animation and would get killed mid animation. Great tip :D

A big reason why Rein's feed is because they swing when they should be shielding against bad matchups. Following these tips on when to swing vs when to shield is way more important than you think and this is what we're trying to teach you.

Imagine rounding a corner and hearing this guy screaming while you get charged if the map
The thing with Moira orb is that if it starts sucking you, it will continue until it gets far away, however if you block it (even for a millisecond) it cuts off the LOS and cancels the sucking. Since it has to be closer to start sucking than it does to keep sucking this can save you 100hp/having to turn your shield away from a fight towards orb.

I think it’s cool game design how shields can interrupt so much besides just damage. The fact that it can stop healing and lucio ults and the like makes them much more interesting than just damage cover.

While most of these tips are pretty good. I think one that is worth mentioning is what to do when your shield gets low. I find that most players in diamond and masters don't hug corners as much as you need to now. Shields get melted pretty fast in this meta so that means that riens need to move teams into areas that have natural cover. Just my two cents.

You can use the agressive rein v rein tip as used as a bait by walking up but jumping back before you touch their shield to bait a shatter if youre not sure

As a Symmetra main, a lot of Reins will either back away or try to corner themselves so their teammates can pick me off before doing too much damage. This doesn’t work because I’ll often times push past the shield and get behind Rein and the wall to pick him off before he even realizes what I’m doing.
The best way to deal with an aggressive Sym is to drop your shield and swing at her before she gets the drop on you.

As a Torb main, my strat against Rein is to run up to him hoping he stays passive and keeps his shield up, and then overload when I'm on top of him and run in behind his shield for scatter shots. Same with Molten Core, you run on top of the Rein before you use it.
After 2 years I finally made it to diamond this season mostly playing Reinhardt so I appreciate this👌

you can tell this guy isn't as aggressive as clone man when he did his tip video. most of his tips are how to use your shield properly, it's good to have both perspectives so it's not just a repeat.

2:35 I have absolutely been lifted into the air and pinned to a wall by hog as late as last week, locked into the shatter animation due to not being able to touch the ground. I'm not sure if they changed the passive or hog's ult since this video got posted, but it can happen.
If you jump too much the hog will try to time it and when he ults you, you will obviously be lifted if you are in the jump animation, don’t jump too much near a hog or a lucio cuz the impact of the lifts will be bigger
TLDR: hold your shield up

For the doom tip I would add: when the enemy doom lands the meteor strike not far away from you, try to estimate and charge the doomfist into a wall as he lands(works for me all the time)

wow, what a coincidence, I watched Shock for the first time yesterday, and thought wow he's pretty funny, and a good player, and here he is now.
One other tip for against genji is he is able to double jump over your earth shatter so I try to use it as the genji is falling.
I'd like it if you could make a guide on adapting to unconventional compositions. I'm used to playing around whatever the team wants to do, but I often get teammates who get stressed out or confused because they don't know how to play nonmeta.
Comps like Zenyatta/Brigitte, for example, or Hammond/Hog. Even double sniper is a foreign concept to some plat healers.
Oh man. One match I had, I was Zen, pocketing a Brig bc our team was contributing fuck all to our match, and we straight up team killed them in the cp.

Personally, I like to pretend that I am playing agressively and when the enemy Rein shields as a response, I charge him. I change it up with the opposite playstyle of pretending to paly evry defensively for a good shatter. It's great to mix it up constantly.
