The Metallica Kill Em All cassette is a reissue from 1988

That's reissued probably around when "...and justice for all" was released. They did it like most bands did when their first few albums did not do as well as their later albums

I thought the megadeth remasters on Apple Music were great but when I got the original CD’s of Peace Sells, Countdown To Extinction, and Cryptic Writings and Cassette of Rust In Peace, I realized that they are good but nothing compared to the originals.

Great collection. I have a first press Black Sabbath Paranoid on Nems Records. Black Sabbath is misprinted and is spelled Sabbbath. I've been collecting cassettes since the early 80s. Mostly Heavy metal/ Thrash. I grab anything on COMBAT RECORDS.

I never got rid of my cassettes. I still have more than one hundred. Just bought a new old stock one at a Big Sugar concert here a few months back. Nos from 1992.

I just started collecting tapes! Your collection is enviable 🤤 do you have any recommendations for where to get first press tapes or how to tell if someone is a first press?

I found a good majority of my first press cassettes by trading with other people, however, I have found some first press ones at Amoeba Music in Hollywood. I would check local record stores, if the cassette has a date other than the original release date, more than likely you have a reissue or remaster, so look out for that. Also, eBay is a great site to check as well, pretty easy to find originals on there 👍🏽
