Back in the spring of 2021 there was a recall of Winchester, Browning, Herter's, and possibly a couple others. It had to do with an increased likelihood of a squib load. This recall leads me to believe they are manufactured in the same plant, on the same equipment. Thus, they are identical in every way except for the headstamp. Perhaps that's no longer the case (pun?). I do tend to avoid both Browning and Winchester. They are the only two brands that I've experienced multiple malfunctions with. It's possible that they are the only two brands that I've experienced any malfunctions with, but I'm not ready to go that far.
I've used this before as range ammo and found it to be consistent and not too "dirty". The price falls around $.28 / round in my area, making it middle-of-the-road in that respect as well. I tend to run 124 grain more often than 115 unless I get a screaming good buy on the lighter weight rounds.
@@ImOldGregg Yeah, it is. I was in a local chain store today and the best price on any 9MM FMJ was $13.99 / box of 50 Herters. Once in a while they run the Herters or Browning / Winchester for $9.99 / 50 which I consider a screaming good deal. $.23/round is a good deal, I'll have to check the links in the article. Too bad I just bought 500 rounds of 124 grain Federal online for $.24/round and $10 shipping. I still remember being able to get 115 grain FMJ for $6.99 / box of 50 back when the world was a simpler place. Oh, well - at least I'm still here to buy ammo!
Great information, if we see their ammunition on sale were definitely going to purchase a case. I'm going to see if they sell ammunition components as we manufacturer most of our ammunition from new components. What a beautiful rang that is. Oregon is a beautiful state.😃 Have a great day as always 😎🙏
Browning and Winchester are same really, right. At least they are part of the same conglomerate. In association with FN America or at least FN's parent conglomerate. Everybody hates on WWB yet I've found it to run in everything with never a hiccup. Is Browning available everywhere? Confusing, the licensing. I see it only at BPS who at one time not long ago owned the usage of the Browning name.
This is Einchester Ammo made fir Browning. Good ammo. Used the .223 ammo as well. Very good ammo as well.

Crazy that almost 30 cents a round is middle of the road now
@ImOldGregg it's much cheaper than that, even in my article just 5 days ago I sourced for .23/round

Ive bought this in the past it had the Lake City head stamp just like the Herters brand from Cabelas/Bass Pro
Used it for the range. Found it a little dirty and not as accurate as Blazer brass.
