the fact this guy can stay this motivated through a job like this while getting all good angles and giving positive attitude all around.... impressive dude.
coming from someone who works as a Toyota mechanic and did this job on my car today.
Take bottom mount of FIRST before the top mount, else the engine will be putting force on it. Not necessary to remove driveshafts from hubs, there's plenty of swing on that left strut to just put the shaft form the gearbox and just tie it up to the brake lines. You don't even need to touch the RH driveshaft, apart from levering it out of the gearbox. you can then just lift the gearbox away from the shaft when you remove it.
very well explained i had my clutch changed yesterday
Thanks
How long it takes?

Great video! Especially the order of removing nuts.
Milli 😂. Never heard millimetres pronounced that way before. Kept heat 12 milli-volts! Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching really appreciate it
I like your knowhow but because of your English accent I have to suggest that you talk a wee bit slower. Canadian English is a wee bit of translation... plus the fact that I'm slow😀
Thanks for doing this vid.
No worries mate
You doing good 👍 work toyota yaris

Hello,
Recently, I bought Toyota Yaris 2007, 1.3 VVT-i, MT, Engine: 2SZFE, French build, LHD, 114 000 km.
I've a problem with the clutch pedal biting point, which is fully down to the floor for all of the gears. Sometimes when I try to shift into Reverse (even if the clutch pedal is fully depressed) a grinding noise is heard when I move the gear shift. If I push the pedal fully down on the floor, shift into 1st gear and release the pedal even 1-2 mm higher than the floor, I can feel that the car starts moving. Sometimes when I drive and switch from 1-st to 2-nd gear, the shifting of the gear is a bit difficult (the pedal must be strongly pressed fully to the floor). My leg gets tired after a long drive and sometimes I cannot make such a presure, so the difficult shifting problem appears.
The pedal free play is around 17-18 mm. The push road play is 7-8 mm. The pedal height from the floor seems to be OK (It's a bit higher than the brake pedal). I can depresss the pedal fully to the bottom on the floor. When relased, the pedall gets back to its highest position normally. The pedal is not soft.
The clutch has never been replaced. Service technicians said that I need a new clutch. I asked them if bleeding is needed, but they said that the clutch fork mooving is quite well far, so the hydraulic system is OK, and bleeding can even worse the problem. Here is how the clutch fork looks like when the pedall is fully released and fully depresed:

I was wondering if the pedall free play rod can be adjusted, but I can't seen any adjustments on my master cylinder. Please see the left part of the figure bellow:

Can you give me an advice?
Thanks,
Nikolay
I think you just might need a new clutch. Sorry but if its hydraulic which I think it is you cant really adjust them. But to be fair new clutch on one of them not too expensive job done around about £250
@@TEAMR4ULTV Thank you for your reply!
@@TEAMR4ULTV Just a question: Do you think a fresh gear oil must be used or the old one can be reused, when replacing the clutch?
@@nikolayneshov6120 you should always use new oils!
Big chunks of important steps missed out ie how to get the driveshafts out of the diff, they are held in by circlips and it is possible to damage the gearbox casing if not done carefully. Also skipped the clutch plate assembly step. 👎
Thanks for watching anyway
Thanks, I wasn’t aware and will be attempting this.
thanks alot
No worries. Thanks for watching really appreciate it
Great video,👍
i personally remove the whole exhaust, its easy and you have more space to work with that sensor out of the way
Really? On a clutch replacement video you point one by one the bolts to remove and then don't even show the actual clutch replacement?
Really easy that's why I didnt show you how to change the actual clutch. If you could do all that then I think you can just take the clutch bolts off only 6 of them not very hard.
Dont worri next one I do al show you how to take the clutch off and how to Replace it
You probably need to support the engine after removal of the transmission.
Engine was supported by hydraulic hoist/Jack
@@TEAMR4ULTV I see. Thank you!
Good stuff...well explained ...
Thanks for watching really appreciate it
Buen video...
I've just changed my yaris clutch Same one as you have there but the I changed the slave cylinder at the same time after I fitted it all back together the the clutch won't engage I tried pressure bleeding the system and it worked perfectly when it was under pressure but once I released the pressure it went back to not engaging? Would u have any knowledge of what might be happening
It could be the clutch master cylinder
Video is perfect!
Thanks for watching really appreciate it
@@TEAMR4ULTV how much gear oil you put in?

Merhaba 5:57 dakikada hortumun üzerinde ' K ' harfi var görevi nedir ne işe yarıyor
Isnt it good advice to not use power or air tools to remove the pressure plate bolts ? There’s a risk of old clutch dust being blown into the air and it’s nasty stuff you dont want to breath in. I guess if you have a respirator it might be different....
Hi, My 03 Yaris won't select gear intermittently. I notice the slave is not leaking and seems to operate the fork. Last time it happened I noticed I could select 1st after turning engine off but I feel a slight pull when I dip the clutch.
Can you advise me as to what could be the problem? Thanks
If the car goes in gear as normal when the car is off then you need a clutch on the car.
did you drain oil? i must have missed that
Yes you have to drain the oil
Do you think this is doable without a ramp?
To be honest you can do it. But lot better and easier on rsmp
Jesus… what a nightmare, I thought could be done at home… there is no way 🤣
Brother any more videos
Hopefully more vids coming
where u from
Do you know what gearbox oil to use on a 1.3 2008 toyota yaris.
Just use ATF Fulid Dexron 3
Hi do you know if the 2003 yaris tspirit has a Dual mass flywheel or single because my mechanic told me its dual but i thought older cars had single.
If its petrol I dont it should have a dual mass. If its diesel It might have
@@TEAMR4ULTV its petrol so thats what i thought thats why im confused why the mechanic said that maybe he was confused or did not know either way i need a definite answer because ive been told dual mass are not so good and go wrong more often.
