Just to clarify: Sanremo is not an Esc selection but it’s an Italian festival much older than Eurovision . The winner can go to Eurovision , but can also refuse.

@@stufr.reacts The peculiarity of the Sanremo festival is that unpublished songs participate and compete. These songs are heard for the first time by the public during the Festival. I don't know if it's the only song festival in the world that does this type of competition, for sure it was the first to do it.

He is so authentic because the song is about his ex girlfriend (the 2020 Sanremo singer Levante), even if it's also a general message about incommunicability between people (love interests, friends, etc.). The song is so poetic and his voice is mesmerizing. He is also a very down to earth guy.

I really don't understand who said that this song is "boring" or not good for the eurovision contest. Someone remember Salvador Sobral with is Amar pelos dois in the 2017? That was a poetry, was a really slow song, but emotional like no others. Music is not only beat, scream or dancing under the fireworks on live stage,music is fellings, and this song talks about that. I don't care if Diodato will win, but I hope that everyone can appreciate this kind of music. It's my wish. Bye everyone

ESC is inspired by the Sanremo Festival. Sanremo is 70 years old and is the festival of Italian music and song. Unfortunately, many people think that Sanremo is a selection of ESC but in reality it is not so. Sanremo can be considered the "mother" of ESC.

It’s not a national selection and that’s also why every ESC Italian song is in Italian
