Well Sanremo festival is not Italy's selection song for eurovision...Sanremo miusic festival was created before Eurovision and Eurovision was actually created on its model. Sanremo is a national miusic competition and after it is asked to the winner if they want to rapresent Italy to Eurovision, yes it is ASKED. For exemple Francesca Michelin was selected as the rapresentative of Italy because the winner of Sanremo of that year refused. Sanremo is another completely different story from Eurovision unlike other countries rapresentative selection 👍

This song really got to me the first time I heard it, even though I had no Idea what the words were about. I would recommend finding a version of the song with the English lyrics on screen. If you think the song is powerful on it's own, knowing what it actually about really gets you. I think this song should win the competition. I just hope votes don't get split between this song and Ulrikke's "Attention" since they are both big ballads. This just isn't my favorite for Eurovision 2020, but it's my favorite song in general--I listen to it constantly. I do enjoy a really good power ballad, and they really don't get any better than this.

Sanremo is not a selection for the Eurovision. It is THE national music festival that celebrates Italian music. The Eurovision ticket is just an added bonus and the winner can decide if he/she wants to accept the offer. If the winner refuses the offer goes to the artist that placed second etc.

This song really got to me the first time I heard it, even though I had no Idea what the words were about. I would recommend finding a version of the song with the English lyrics on screen. If you think the song is powerful on it's own, knowing what it actually about really gets you. I think this song should win the competition. I just hope votes don't get split between this song and Ulrikke's "Attention" since they are both big ballads. This just isn't my favorite for Eurovision 2020, but it's my favorite song in general--I listen to it constantly. I do enjoy a really good power ballad, and they really don't get any better than this.

Diodato is the far cousin of Sebastian Ingrosso from the swedish band "Swedish House Mafia" and is the far uncle of Benjamin Ingrosso who joined ESC few years ago representing Sweden. Diodato Lived in Stockholm for few years at the beginning of the century.

This song was my winner for Sanremo70 and I am glad it won although it's getting a lot of flak because many think it's not appropriate for ESC.
I completely disagree and I will write the same thing I wrote under Diodato's page: this song is perfect for ESC because, even if you don't understand the lyrics, it hits you right in the stomach and your reaction proves it.

Sanremo is not a selection for the Eurovision. It is THE national music festival that celebrates Italian music. The Eurovision ticket is just an added bonus and the winner can decide if he/she wants to accept the offer. If the winner refuses the offer goes to the artist that placed second etc.
