I think you guys have a nice head-start of making your small area organization easier from when you lived in your trailer for 5 years. It definitely taught you how to organize and problem solve. Nice job. At the end segment, the view from the dock and the sounds of nature were so nice.

That's what we love to do. We travel a max of 300 miles a day when towing our RV, it gives us time to get to our campsite and set up and get supper cooked so we can relax the rest of the evening and start out well rested in the morning.
Elizabeth and Bill your camper is coming along, looks really good so far. Can't wait to see it completely finished, Bill you do great work. Loved your addition to your home in Virginia and following all the work you and Elizabeth did in Florida. Bless you both.

I am originally from New Mexico... now in Ky... Years ago I was taking a trip out west and had a friend with me who had never been out that way. As we left Ky I told her to watch the trees.. and as we traveled she became aware that the trees kept getting smaller.. and more spread out... til we got to West Texas and spent the night. We had pulled in at night .. so.. when we got up and she saw that the trees were, well.. non existent, she said, " I see what you ment!! This part of the world is SOOO different!" And for me, my spirit felt set free!!

I currently live the Raleigh/Durham area and you're right trees or housing complexes everywhere! Praise the Lord for openness! I also enjoy folks who can enjoy and love trees and mountains! We are on a three-day shakedown trip close to home as we test out a few new mods before we head out on a longer trip. We love our 25 ft. "portable cabin" class C motor home. Did you hear me holler at you as you drove through Kansas. You’re just quite a ways north of us. You’re the first person I remember ever saying you liked driving through Kansas. You did a wonderful job on your new roundabout home.
Thank you Bill for acknowledging the beauty of the prairie land of my state. Most people think of the land as a boring wasteland to drive through, but I have the very same feelings about driving through the land as you stated. The Kansas flint hills are even more beautiful.
Yes, so many think KS is just treeless and flat, but that only really applies to the Western half, from Salina or so on. And definitely further, from the MO/KS border than 75 miles into the state! In addition to the Flint Hills which are South of where they were, they should have at least seen signs about Manhattan, KS, just a a few miles off of I70. That small city is in a valley surrounded by the very tree-filled Blue Hills, which are beautiful! Also, even in the western half, if you venture off I70, it again is not totally flat, even out West. If you go south you can find Castle Rock, the Chalk flats and Cheyenne Bottoms. Those are all remnents of when the land there was once covered with ocean. There's fossils of all kinds of sea creatures. And Cheyenne Bottoms is actually a swamp area, with water remaining. And it was out there, when I was 9 or 10, that this little KS girl, born and bred first saw sea birds. Until they've seen it, no one would believe that in that one little area of KS, are seagulls, and cranes, and pelicans, etc. Yes, on that one stretch of I70 is the awe-inspiring flatness and the big skies of the Prairie. And that is beautiful in its own way. But KS is SO much more than treeless and flat! But I'm glad you enjoy that part, Bill!!

Just love your Channel. You guys are such a wonderful couple and truly meant to be together. I just thought of a way to hold your table in place under the floor. Drill a hole in the center of the edge of the floor. Then just drop a bolt or something down in there and it will keep the table from moving out until you remove the bolt. Blessings and safety upon you both as you travel. You really thought of everything in your camper to be totally at home in there. Also remember way back when we had an outdoor toilet, mom had a bucket of lime in the corner and sprinkle some across the top of the waste. I'm sure she had the cleanest outhouse in lake Charles, Louisiana, haha!!!

We had a deadline. We had to get to Colorado Springs for Elizabeth 50th high school reunion. We actually moved our scheduled trip up one whole month to be able to get to that reunion. That’s why I didn’t have time to finish.
I love what you did with the camper! I especially like the fact that everything is one unit without the need for a hitch or fifth wheel, etc. So convenient, comfortable and easy to park.

Hi. I've followed you guys for years, since you were living in your other RV in the cold (before the houses) but I never comment. I do want to comment to make a small suggestion tho regarding the mirror at the 21:08 mark. I would consider putting a plastic grocery bag over the mirror's head and then tying it shut at the handle... That way if the mirror gets knocked around and breaks while traveling, the pieces and shards will fall into the grocery bag and not go all over the RV. I haven’t been on a trip in 8 years and I am enjoying going on this inaugural trip with you. I have been as far west as AZ, and I spent a summer in Saint Joseph, Missouri. My husband was on a NY Yankees farm team when we got married, so we went to different cities in the summer. I loved traveling and meeting nice people. Love the setup.....really nice job. I miss my days of travel and camping, we started in a tent moved to a tent trailer, trailer then 5th wheel. Loved it all and saw such beautiful areas of our country. In our 80's now and not wanting the set up and take down of any type of RV's. I just want to say Elizebeth you look like you've lost weight, you look amazing. Happy travels and I'll just have to enjoy them watching you.

I loved what you said about open spaces in Kansas and endless views. I was raised in the PNW, my first time over the Cascade range had me awestruck. Like you said, there's something special about the plains. I now live in Texas, and need the trees for shade, but love the wide open expanses as well .

I loved what you said about open spaces in Kansas and endless views. I was raised in the PNW, my first time over the Cascade range had me awestruck. Like you said, there's something special about the plains. I now live in Texas, and need the trees for shade, but love the wide open expanses as well .
