Wow! Who ever thought they’d be glued to a channel, watching a guy install a door in a box truck!? 🤷🏼♀️ I don’t know, but I’m a fan! I always look forward to Bill’s resourcefulness and talent as he takes on these projects! And Elizabeth? A talented lady in her own right inside their home! And what a wonderful inspiration, helper, and cheerleader she is for her hubby!
I love how you are thinking and doing things to accomidate and assist Elizabeth, Bill. There are just things that a woman can and cannot do and visa versa. You are good examples for our young people of what a marriage is suppose to look like. So thank you both for being good examples to all of us out here.😊
I saw a video where they taped off where things would go. So happy for you both. Elizabeth you are so lucky to have a husband who cares about your struggles. I’m very aware of your breathing as a retired nurse very familiar with your issues! You smile through it all!! ❤😊
Good grief!! I’ve been following you for several years. All of a sudden I wasn’t getting notifications! Now I’m almost a month behind! I’ll be binge watching tonight
Bill you never cease to amaze me with your skills. I love the idea of leaving the back door so it can be opened to see all the wonderful scenery of wherever your travels take you two. Maybe have some sort of screen that can be pulled down or even the magnetic sliding door screen so you can enjoy all the scenery without any bugs! Awesome video. Love you guys and you be blessed as well.
Elizabeth you’re so lucky to have someone like Bill who cares about everything in your life to make things better. You have a keeper there, a hard worker who knows about everything. Big hugs to both of you.
Opening the back “wall” to see a view is a great idea. I look forward to seeing the box truck transformation. I don’t think I can talk my husband into converting one of these, but camping in the mini van worked out well for us in our travel.
I'm really going to enjoy your camper build series Bill. I have a 1967 Corsair travel travel that previously belonged to my grandparents. It now requires some structural repair but otherwise is fully functional. I've not done this kind of work before, so I'm hoping to learn a few pointers watching you tackle your project. Thanks so much for sharing this adventure with us. God Bless.
Love the new door! I can't believe how fast you got that project done. It sure looks great. I believe you need a 5th wheel handrail that will swing into place. The handrail you showed will not allow you to grab it from the distance of the lower stair. Safety is of utmost importance with Elizabeth's mobility issues. Lobe you both so much. God 🙌.
I recently saw a video from New Jersey Van Dwellers. They had a bed that stored on the ceiling and then lowered for sleeping and had a kitchen and a full bathroom. It was very cool!
It’s so exciting! Installing the door there changes the whole look of the truck! Bill, you are so clever and able to do whatever needs to be done. Along with your capable assistant!😉 Elizebeth I am sure you are already thinking of colors and decorating ideas. It is fun to go along with you as you turn your box truck into a beautiful RV. Thank you for the videos!🥰
This is so cool. I’ve been following Brian as long as you have. Happy for y’all. I built out my MB Sprinter back in 2017 after retiring. What a blessing that was for me. It kept me busy and just doing it was more satisfying than I ever imagined.
Every Sprinter that I have seen, and that has only been 3 or 4, didn't have any windows. I'd be putting in windows and screens. Gotta have light and air.
@@Parakeetfriend4215 Putting 3 awning style windows in was actually one of the first things I did. Waking up to a new dawn looking out your window right next to your pillow was what I wanted.
I have watched Brian back to his first van I think. I really like Kelly and dog. It would be so cool to visit with Brian in person. Very nice, gifted man. His music, carvings are so enjoyable as well his travels. Very 😊Hard worker!
Woohoo!! The start of a new project!!! I suppose it would be a good thought to install a magnetic screen to cross the whole back end so you can enjoy the scenery without bugs when you open up the whole back wall!!!! Sounds like fun trips coming up in the future!!!
I recommend installing a tankless water heater. Use a residential model that needs a chimney, it will be significantly cheaper than an RV model. I got tankless water heater for 320CAD and some chimney for 50 CAD and some roofing tar for $10 a tube; where as an RV heater can cost a thousand + dollars.
I am laughing at myself, because I'm watching and listening while I knit a hat, and I find myself praying for Bill's success at his task, catch myself, and laugh because of course it has already happened!
Very clever thinking Mr. Bill, I can't wait when you and Elizabeth can enjoy it! Thank you for giving us a open door to your life, it truly is a breath of fresh air to enjoy such wonderful people as yourself and your beautiful family, God bless you always 🦋🌻
The door made a big difference I'm looking forward to see it finished I always enjoy your construction videos and projects you are a good teacher because you explain everything
Thank you very much , I run a carpet cleaning business and box trucks with side doors are hard to find . I went to look at a box truck today and thought why not just add a door myself? And your video gave me the confidence to pull the trigger and do it . Thanks again
Keeping your back door useable makes many things possible. Side L shaped in the back on both sides could make benches /beds with piano hinges on to go from benches to bed base and the opening in the L in the middle could be a dinette in center or whatever for exterior views....when closed could become lots of storage........really a ton of options. So cool......I am so excited for you both ..........on a new adventure and not having to leave the yard yet. I am sure your son as well as you two could make so many things happen in ideas that it would be unreal.........WOW so cool and so neat for you guys. Best of luck and now you have me wanting a box truck.....LOL at 77 I think I won't do that but it's fun to dream right along with you. Enjoy the prep and the journey as it moves forward. Blessings!!!!
You should put a roll down screen so when the big door is up, you have a screen to pull down and keep the bugs out. Can't wait to see the finished camper.
I love building things myself as you get to celebrate each additional thing. Also Rv building in the USA is a mass production of leaky homes with bad plumbing. When new they are off the road with warrenty repairs. And then they depreciate wildly.
COLD HERE IN VIRGINIA, LOOKS LIKE IT IS WARM IN FLORIDA WHERE YOU GUYS ARE! GREAT JOB INSTALLING THAT DOOR BILL. BLESSING TO YOU AND ELIZABETH CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE FINISH PRODUCT!
It's looking good I'm so excited to see the build. I know what Elizabeth means with the door feeling like it's her RV now that's how I felt when I painted my bus I felt it's official.😊 Till next time, God bless.
love Elizabeth’s excitement and I admit I fast forward it because I couldn’t wait to see it lol and to think this is only the beginning, can’t wait to see the finished product!
I want a box truck! Still working on my Zen Refuge, I'm so slow. Watching your addition helped on that. Even made me more confident. Now I can watch your box truck. This is exciting!
Wow. Bill, you have thought about everything! I throughly enjoyed watching your video. You made it look so easy mounting the door!! I love watching you and Elizabeth interact with one another. Blessings sent your way,.❤❤
There's a fellow named Larry who lives in Nevada, and his business is restoring vintage travel trailers. He does it the right way, if it's done wrong the whole trailer becomes a disaster waiting to happen. One of his videos is actually of a lady's trailer that just came apart while driving down the highway. Bill is doing this the right way, the reason I'm mentioning it is that Larry is a good guy, and he is very good at returning these old trailers to their former glory. His channel is called Mobiltec if anyone would like to drop by and see what he does.
I can’t wait to see every episode of your box truck make over! Love it! Elizabeth it must be an encouragement to Bill to see how happy you are about box truck conversion to camper! 😊❤
You may call RV salvage to find reasonable components, like your steps, windows, etc. There’s a good one going in from Tennessee to Kentucky on I 75 that I have used. For example an AC shroud 25 bucks where it would be over $200 new and nothing was wrong with it.
Get a screen door for across the back, one for a garage door. That way no bugs. An awning would be cool. Try a junkyard for stairs and other things off of recked RV's. Lots of work but fun. God bless and protect.
I'm so happy for both of you!❤ Maybe you might repurpose that door-into a kitchen table that props up with a couple of legs-it would fold flat when not in use❤❤
It was cool to see it installed at the meet and greet! Also it looks like you’ve got more room inside now, without anything else than I thought via your previous video. It will be interesting to see how you design the interior! Sea turtle friend😊
I love your truck and this great project. Bill, you have such great skills. I believe you can do anything. I'm so looking forward to seeing the truck finished.👍
Elizabth,Bill, I'm excited too. Bill, you are very gifted like my late husband. Elizabeth ,I helped, cheered, helped too. So enjoy your channel very much.3 Cheers also from OKLAHOMA.
Nice Job Bill . Wife and I really enjoyed our time with others at the rendezvous. Hope to make another. Thank you for answering our questions. God Bless .
I love this!! I love camping and have friends that have a cargo conversion and it’s also awesome. We have a standup teardrop but have been researching other options so we might can have a twin bed arrangement. It’s getting very hard for my husband to be comfortable in what we have now. Love yours and can’t wait to see what y’all do!
Great job guys I'm glad you're keeping the Pull down door in the back. It adds For security. Also I hope you make An entryway to the back from the front cab that's also extra security. It's going to be It's going to be beautiful I just know itbeautiful.

Cool, now you can make an outdoor table with the piece you cut out. Looks great
Or indoor as the table that you will need for inside or use as counter top for cooking.
Great idea but it may have already been taken to the junkyard as these videos are usually two weeks behind
I saw a video where they taped off where things would go. So happy for you both. Elizabeth you are so lucky to have a husband who cares about your struggles. I’m very aware of your breathing as a retired nurse very familiar with your issues! You smile through it all!! ❤😊

Others have told me that as well!
If ever a couple deserved a change in fortunes it has definitely been Bill and Elizabeth enjoy your van when it’s finished xx
Bill is so resourceful and Miss Elizabeth's excitement is so contagious 😃♥
I wish this build was already done so I could binge watch!
So do I !!

I was thinking that a screen in back would be good too, for the same reasons. Bugs in food, mouth, biting just isn't my cup of tea so to speak.😅
Yes was thinking the same thing. There’s many options for a screen but I’m sure they will find the right one for them.
That is a major undertaking but Bill is a master.
Elizabeth you’re so lucky to have someone like Bill who cares about everything in your life to make things better. You have a keeper there, a hard worker who knows about everything. Big hugs to both of you.
You’re right! 😊❤️

Wow Bill, you did an amazing job putting that door in! Elizabeth is a lucky woman!
Love the new door! I can't believe how fast you got that project done. It sure looks great. I believe you need a 5th wheel handrail that will swing into place. Yes, there will be a larger folding handrail as well.
I recently saw a video from New Jersey Van Dwellers. They had a bed that stored on the ceiling and then lowered for sleeping and had a kitchen and a full bathroom. It was very cool!
Yup, I've seen those type of beds. Pretty cool.
That panel make a nice countertop
I enjoy hearing kids having fun too. That's a VBS class for Elizabeth, and a great way to meet the neighbours.. ha
Nice to see Brian. Met him several years ago. Very nice guy
What an awesome combination you two make as a couple. Yall will enjoy this custom made RV for years to come ❤
It’s so exciting! Installing the door there changes the whole look of the truck! Bill, you are so clever and able to do whatever needs to be done. Love how you appreciate each other . Hearing kids outside is great no devices !!
I knew he would never not have a project. Lol. Keeps brain & body working. Take your time, drink glass fresh lemonade.
Men have to have something to do regardless of how old they are.

I'm looking at a water heater unit that heats the water while driving, from the heat of the engine coolant.
I am laughing at myself, because I'm watching and listening while I knit a hat, and I find myself praying for Bill's success at his task, catch myself, and laugh because of course it has already happened!
Watching Bill cut a hole in a perfectly good box truck and installing an RV door? You bet I’m in! 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Very clever thinking Mr. Bill, I can't wait when you and Elizabeth can enjoy it! Thank you for giving us a open door to your life, it truly is a breath of fresh air to enjoy such wonderful people as yourself and your beautiful family, God bless you always 🦋🌻
You make everything look so easy. I'm thinking I can do that as well. Bless you both.
Elizabeth looks so cute in that video, peeking over your shoulder 😊 and she still looks cute and full of joy! You two are a sweet couple
The door made a big difference I'm looking forward to see it finished I always enjoy your construction videos and projects you are a good teacher because you explain everything

I really like the way you talked through all the decisions you made. Very relatable.
Thanks for taking us along for the reno again sooooo glad u will b able to stand and stooping would get old quickly Oh the fun you will have
You two are so sweet. Every time I watch your video's I'm blessed. Thanks

You should put a roll down screen so when the big door is up, you have a screen to pull down and keep the bugs out. Can't wait to see the finished camper.
I'm excited to watch your build out. I have an old van that I camp in and I love it.
looking forward to your adventures in the box truck. Elizabeth will make it cozy !
I love watching Brian’s channel, too! He has great videos. The door looks great. Can’t wait to see the upcoming changes!
I think it fit perfectly. It looks nice.
What an exciting project! I'm looking forward to watching this build and seeing the finished product.
Love your attitude about children- Young attitude- I had 10 - all old now
I love it when a plan works out!
Heck, I'm as excited as Elizabeth!! Can't wait to see the transformation.
I love building things myself as you get to celebrate each additional thing. Also Rv building in the USA is a mass production of leaky homes with bad plumbing. When new they are off the road with warrenty repairs. And then they depreciate wildly.
That’s one reason I’m building my own.
Well, installing that RV door was a real 'doorable' challenge! But hey, now we can enter the world of mobile living in style!" 😄🚚🚪

Well, it's my JOB as her husband! 😊
Fantastic job!! I would be afraid I would have made the hole too big!
You and me both! It was a little stressful.
We bought our travel trailer steps from Amazon. We only had one step, but my short legs and bad knees needed more. They worked great for us.

Just adding a door has changed the look. Going to love this makeover journey. - watching from Lake Wales, Florida
Very nice 👍🏻 ❤ glad you got it done before dark!🙂

Good start on your box van to RV Conversion 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊
Hello Bill & Elizabeth
Looks awesome 👍😁
Wow, a lot has changed with your layout ideas!
Great job!
Yup, it's a work in progress. Things change as we go. If something doesn't work, we try something else.

Im excited to watch the transformation take place.
Lighting from the door is great.😊
I agree with you about installing a door into the cab. I would want one for safety reasons.
Definately.
