Did anyone else stay up all night listening to TTPD: The Anthology when it dropped?! Here's part ✌ of my reaction - my initial thoughts on "I Look Through People's Windows" are probably my fav out of all these early morning musings. And I still can't listen to "The Manuscript" without having the same reaction I did this first time 😭 How's your TTPD listening going? Did you have similar reactions?? What're your top song from TTPD: The Anthology?!
Sorry I missed this comment before, but wow! Hehe I love that little piano ditty at the end of champagne problems, so my ear immediately perked up when I heard it in TTPD - I LOVE that she added little touches like that to link to older songs 🥹
@bitesbybekah Both the alchemy and so high school are Travis songs , so high school is when she says open the door that so sweet pull me in the back seat. It when Travis open the car door on their date in nyc & when she looks at him and hiding when she see him every time she see him & like when she went to the crowd looking for him on the football field on the Super Bowl so it’s really about him & how happy she is !! The alchemy is about chemistry that why she says chemical, the touchdown trophy and the others on the bench is her ex’s but now she has the American football guy running to her arms when she did at the Super Bowl & the greatest in the league is about when Travis wasn’t doing well and the heroine is feminine for girl hero she is his drug helping him go on a winning streak
Hehe I love this!! And yes, I absolutely agree with it all - I was honestly not expecting any Travis songs on this album, so feel extra excited to have gotten these two 🥹🤩
This is so kind and really means a lot! Thanks so much for watching and for such an encouraging comment 🥹 I’m super excited to share more TTPD videos, and hope you’ll check them out! 🫶
Not to brag, but I generally find it funny when I see Swifties complain (sort of) about Taylor making them crack open a dictionary, or more likely use an online one these days. Sort of like Taylor, I guess I was just fortunate to have a love of reading instilled in me from an early age. In any case, she finally got me in “The Prophesy” with “greige.” I had no idea. It's interesting, too, as I think one-syllable portmanteau words are kind of rare. I don't know, I could be wrong there.
Aww thanks so much 🥹 Peter has grown on me too, and I loved it on first listen! I don't understand how I didn't put it in my top 5 songs of the album in that initial ranking though, cause now it absolutely is up there. I think it's the bridge that gets me every single time, I think it's truly one of her best. And the song makes me so so sad too 😭
Did anyone else think that maybe she put mixed signals into some of the songs so people couldn't figure out who they really are about? Maybe it's just me but for instance in the black dog it sounds like it's about Joe until you hear the smoke reference and there are more like that... I don't know of course but if she did that it's a very cool idea!
YES I've absolutely thought the same thing as well. I think it could be so that people can't pinpoint a song to a single person in some instances. But I think also maybe different parts of the same song could relate to different experiences she's had with different people - so for her it could make sense to put them together in a song, even if for us its confusing since of course we don't have the full context of her experiences with these different people. Does that make sense?
Thank you for the correction!! I’m so embarrassed 🙈 Less so about saying it in the reaction, since it was quite late - and more that I didn’t catch it in all of my editing 😅😭

Yup. Although I live on the west coast so at least it was only 11p when pt 2 dropped. I was completely drained by Monday tho.
Omg you are the first person I’ve seen notice that piano part being the same as Champagne problems! I noticed but no other reactors have mentioned it

She sounds so happy in both of the Travis songs
What will really get me is that in _I Hate it Here_ the fantasy realm she retreats to in her mind is where _Folklore_ and _Evermore_ are from
Omg I love that connection so much 😭
Your reactions and reviews deserve way more views! Very thoughtful and insightful, one of my favorites!.

You’re adorable. I was the same. 😢😢
The Manuscript got me the exact same way
It's just so much!!! 😭 Even now whenever I hear that last phrase of the song as it ends, I get tears in my eyes

Love the reaction. Subscribed.
Aww thanks so much!! 🥹 It's so wonderful to connect with you 🫶 How's your TTPD listening going?!
“Blood’s Thick but nothing like a Payroll” nothing will convince me that line isn’t about the Kardashians.
1:06:49 this song has grown on me since my first listen; it makes me feel so sad. Love your reaction !

@@bitesbybekah sometimes it takes take for me to realize what I actually like esp considering we were inundated with 31 songs 🙏🫶🏼🥵

@@bitesbybekah it makes total sense! Also when writing more feelings come together so it's pretty natural to combine multiple experiences.
Also, Mean is from Speak Now. Not Fearless.
