Do this if you have a cactus graft producing branches or "pups".

  • What do you do if your cactus has pups or branches?
    This is what I do when one of my grafted plants starts creating branches of the root stock, and when mother plants create pups that I would rather grow as solitary plants.
    It doesn’t hurt the plant and it helps the new branches develop on their own root 🤓.

    Had to pause and comment how the first 3 minutes have been super informative. I've watched hundreds of videos and you shared information that none of those others ever did. Appreciate it. Back to the video!

      I'm starting to notice that as well. Like nobody goes into detail like him our of on those random tangents that experienced people know that the more popular people just kinda give a generalized explanation no real how to its like they're just enacting the directions on the side of the box.

    What rootstock are you using in this video? Is it Echinopsis Oxygona? What are the pros and cons of it?

    • @RareCactus
      @RareCactus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is; it takes lots of water and handles my climate very well 🌵

      @@RareCactus Nice. Thats one that Im in the very early stages of testing out. So relative to other common rootstock, how fast would you say the scion grafted onto it grows?

    Hey man! Great video! ❤️ from ATL Not AS humid as southern Georgia, but still gets pretty humid here still. Keep it up. I just subscribed and definitely will check out your other videos.

      @@RareCactus oh lord I bet. It’s been a while since I’ve been down that way. But… I’m fairly new to growing cacti/succulents. Atleast at the scale I’m marking on now. I’ll definitely leave some questions for you, and maybe you can make a video. I just got an alert on my phone that Tucker Carlson left fox so I’m loling right now and trying to see what happened. Not to bring politics into it but… I mean lmfao

      Reminds me of the moon cactus that grow all sorts of colors. I got a double headed purple one, not grafted.
