I was there once or twice a summer in the 80s. I just worked tonight with the magician who performed for years at Geauga Lake. I drive past it about once a year and I hear a development is being built right now.
I loved this park. The issue with it was the roads going in and out of the park was not designed to handle the amount of traffic that the park brought in.
The Peanuts Gang!! This is when Cedar Fair bought Geagua Lake to try bringing life back into it. But it was too late after Six Flags Dedicated the Beautiful Charm it once had. Even Don Helbig knew Six Flags Destroyed Geagua Lake in a recent podcast. Not Dick Kenzel. Closing Geagua Lake was The Most Difficult Business Decision Dick Kenzel had to make as CEO of Cedar Fair.
I’ve heard that tends to be the more truthful of the stories forsure - i believe it as well. Six flags ruined it, kinzel didn’t want to close it who wants to close a whole park thats insane people believe that lol. I enjoy the banter on here so much - you ever gonto geauga lake?
@@GhosterCoasters I started going to Geagua Lake as early as 1973 because we had relatives who lived in Cleveland on my Mom's side of the Family. We'd stay over for a long weekend, especially during a holiday weekend, and do a day at Cedar Point, then a day at Geagua Lake. Man!! What Fun Times!!🎠🎡🎢❤️‼️
Big Dipper was ROUGH. I miss that place
I can't wait for this one! My childhood park.
One mistake in the video but should be fun to watch
