The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is the quickest, fastest, and most powerful production SUV on the market. Using the Hellcat 707HP Supercharged V8, all-wheel-drive, and a well dialed-in suspension, the Trackhawk does go, stop, and turn well.... for a Jeep. As we learn by putting it on a track in a crowded track day, all those gains mean little when you can't stop.

Let's pause for a second and acknowledge something about this car that Matt very briefly mentioned. It diverts the AC into the intake to keep you from melting the engine with screaming hot supercharged air if it senses that the air intake temp is getting too high. That is extremely cool technology if you ask me. Literally and figuratively.

Racing around a track in something with enough towing capacity to pull another one of itself behind it, with A/C running and a nice set of cooled seats keeping your balls from getting too moist, with a sticker price contained within 5 figures. If that's not AMERICA, I don't know what is.

Pretty much you can tow your trailer to sleep in/bike in and track it when it's raining and there is nothing to do. When you have mad money instead of saving and investing you blow it on track day.
All the full size American SUVs are capable of doing everything you mentioned the track hawk is just faster

I don't think it would've mattered, because if I ever got one I'd take off the trackhawk and supercharged badges on the side so it was as much of a sleeper as possible so that a) cops are less likely to give me shit and b) so asshats in little imports who scoff at me can be smoked

I agree I loved the center exit exhausts, but it makes mounting a hitch and possibility of towing a lot harder or almost impossible
Seems like a good idea, but you can't tow with that, and I burned my legs on the tips a couple times

i hated the center mount and really limited what size/capacity hitch you could use.
Saarang Singh I agree they should’ve at least given the option. If you didn’t want to tow package, you could have sent exhaust. That would’ve been cool. But the whole undercarriage I’m not so sure it was made for it so I don’t think they can do that

LMAO love the video, love the review, but how do one expect good gas mileage and you have been tracking a car with a 2.2liter blower and putting out over 700hp? And who buys such a vehicle with the expectation of good gas mileage? That's like buying a viper and saying it doesn't have good trunk space...lol. if one buys a track Hawking, they aren't thinking about gas mileage, they purchase for torque and power...and huge grins...

I LOVED amsterdam last month! having cars all-but-banned from the city center was amazingly quiet and beautiful. I would totally pay the extra tax and stuff to live there and have that level of living inside of a city. Much better to have that than the ready, cheap availability of useless trucks.

The Chrysler group cars with the Hellcat engines all look like an absolute laugh. The Trackhawk for the sake it can do this kinda well surprisingly.

Hey Matt.....you will like this!! I have a Trackhawk and I have a 911. It’s a serious toss up as to which vehicle has a better turning radius.
I do not think these are actually built for the track. But nice to see one of these actually being raced. Im waiting a year before I pick one these up.

OK, let's keep it in Chrysler's family then: Challenger Drag Pack - why isn't it called the Track Pack? Because that's a different thing entirely. Even FCA knows this with their marketing.
I'd wager that 9 out of 10 Trackhawks that actually see track time see it on a drag strip.
I know this is anecdotal but I've heard several people around me say they were going to "the track" in reference to drag racing. FCA seems to have a more similar vision to you though with all these reviews on track.

I don't expect it to be good on gas. I expect FCA to build vehicles that can perform well but also run efficienty, and this is not one of those cars.

I really do think that FCA is getting rid of the Grand Cherokee, and Challenger/Charger/300 chassis. The platforms are actually Daimler owned and I know they want them back. People are saying the Guilia platform will take over for the cars but not sure on the GC. Think they are coming up with all these Hellcats, demons, etc for one last shebang with these platforms.

How would you compare the TrackHawk to the Lamborghini Urus?
Our dealer has 3 or 4 of these that have been sitting on the lot for over a year. Nobody wants them. All of them fully loaded $110k out the door. They sell hellcat charger/challengers and standard SRT JGC's like hotcakes though. I guess Chrysler finally crossed the line.
I wonder if the NA V8 Durango/GrandCherokee can be this good

i've noticed the same thing about FCA seats...driven a new jeep..new journey..new van..all feel as if my left leg crushes the seat cushion and i start sliding to the left....very uncomfortable

John Morrison i like fast suvs too, makes for comfortable road trips and commutes, but can be fun when you have an open stretch of road.
You hurt my feelings talking about the Z like that. 😢😢 i think that was a 350 though. My Stock 370 would hang with the Jeep, NOT. Maybe around a slow corner. Still a very fun car to daily drive. How often would you be able to redline a hellcat going through the gears on public streets without getting arrested? That’s why my z is perfect for me.

Because this is a truck transfer case, not a sedan-based AWD system.

I advertise lots of things that I don't necessarily use in my life, but that others might take some pleasure in or find useful. Vincero sells affordable, entry level fashion watches. They don't pretend not to. Their prices are commensurate with the quality, and I've had lots of nice notes from people who are happy with the watch they have purchased. If I limited myself only to advertisers whose products I would naturally use on my own, I wouldn't be a very good businessman.
