Thrifted plastic dollhouse into a Mansion? DIY Spooky Halloween Village for $6.00? Whaaat? So easy!

- Take a plastic dollhouse and spray paint it for a spooky Halloween Mansion. With a few of these houses, you can make an entire city! The more I thought about this project the more idea's I had for it. I really wanted to get this video out so that you have time to find these houses and get them decorated for your Halloween festivities!
You can paint them with a little more detail to really set the stage. You can do more landscaping with simple items found at Dollar Tree and some paint. I used a pair of "trees" I'd plucked the flowers off of and painted them white as background dead tree's. Paint them black for even more spookiness! The ideas are really endless!! These are really cool. Have you seen the ones that take off the windows and roofs (they are screwed on) that get painted purple? Gives them an extra depth of flavor.
I have seen folks take off pieces, so this year I picked one up at my local thrift shop that is a little nicer than previous years and intend to try something different. I have seen folks paint them and then dry brush them. This year I will try that and if I can find another I'll try the purple thing. Great idea! ;)

Because of COVID, I put my dollhouses outside on a long table with the candy. The kids love looking at the dollhouses while getting the candy.
Great idea!! I wondered how to set something up like that outside. Usually tho, our Halloween nights are a mess. Almost always rainy, and sometimes snowy.
Maybe this year will be good and I could set up the whole town. I have made a bunch more since this video and even have a couple new ideas for this years season.
