    God created dry clouds and fruitless trees for a purpose. They are not worthless. Dry clouds provide shade so it can be cool and not hot outside. Humans and animals won't suffer from heat strokes. fruitless trees help provide oxygen, wood, paper, shade and plenty of other stuff. How do they build houses? The Bible en says that we are born evil and none of us are good. Therefore, be discerning and steer clear of people like that. Doesn't mean we're judging, just that we steer clear of folks who have the power to impress their views and morals on us. We stand back and pray for them. That's what Jesus has called us to do. Just because the clouds don't rain, doesn't mean they don't provide shade in the heat. I've seen great people come and go. Folks that don't have a solid walk with Christ. However, they're typically the hardest working people, willing to give the shirt off their back. And they want to be surrounded by others who aren't toxic and offer emotional support. One hand washes the other. The Lord would rather have a church full of sinners than saints...

    • @OcaroPineappl9033

      And you call them worthless. I'm left scratching my head on this one...

    • @jockdasher6151
      @jockdasher6151 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm scratching my head on that one, too. My wife and I have searched for years for a home church in various locations in which I've lived. Some are clogged with folks with family allegiances and keep other servants at arm's length; some are so heavenly minded that they're no earthly good; some have been more focused on brand than the Kingdom; and many, while begging for help and/or trying to set up "teams", put you off with "now's not a good time", "that's not part of our forward plans"; "we tried that once", etc. So it's not always a matter of Christians not wanting to bear fruit within the context of a church family. Sometimes the message is, "We don't really need you but feel free to attend and fill our coffers." And they wonder why church membership is declining. I've pretty much given up on denominational churches (and those that claim to be non-denominational). At 71 years of age, I've pretty much given up on trying to find a place to fit in. My wife and I now look for opportunities to serve others outside the "church" in service to Jesus Christ. Not all clouds are worthless. I've got to disagree with Matt Driscoll on this one.

    What I believe he is saying can be found in John 15:1-8 about the fruitfullness of a life that is either severed or joined to the vine (Jesus Christ).The branch only bears the fruit. It does not produce it. The Vine produces it in the life of the branch as it remains connected to the Vine. Christ said you would know a tree by its fruit (or lack thereof). A genuine believer has spiritual fruit in their life. Someone not joined to Christ does not have the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Cut it down. It’s just taking up space in the garden.’
    8 “The gardener answered, ‘Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer. 9 If we get figs next year, fine. If not, then you can cut it down.’”

    Bearing fruit is following the instruction of GOD. It is not material. It is not stature. . Do you be a man whom claims christ you bear fruit by providing and protecting, loving and teaching, your wife and family. Your wife bears fruit by being in submission to her husband being the keeper of the home and educating the children in the home as GOD has so written. Admonition of the LORD GOD Almighty. Bearing fruit is serving the Lord as he has said. This the LORD GOD hath said. The opposite is deadness in Christ and does give glory to Satan.v
