The Parable of the Talent is Jesus' own words explaining how He expects us to manage His money. When you come to the realization that everything here on earth is His then you'll start to realize that you are nothing more than a caretaker/servant of His goods and money. Act accordingly. (Mat 25:14-30 and Luke 19:11-27)

I would like us to look at Luke 10:18 Does it look like Adam invited SATAN to earth? Does it look like God gave SATAN charge over the earth, over Adam and Eve? In the garden, did God say "Adam, BECAUSE you sined, Satan is running this earth now." Luke 10:19 Jesus, cast evil spirits out of people. NOT US! We cast devils OUT of the city, state, country, off the earth, into hell! What about the PROPHECIES? Marrhew 5:18 says THE LAW!!! The book of revelation is not THE LAW!!! Would you do to anybody what's in the book of Revelation? Let God do a new thing!!! Let God's KINGDOM come!!! Let us do what we need to do, let US CAST out devils tirelessly!!!

The same tired, old defense of American wealth. Try it one time without using the old testament. Better yet,do an honest study of "riches" and "blessing " in the new testament. The last thing we need is to feel good about our materialism

Maybe we should define wealth. I have an abundant crop of blueberries, I consider that a pure gift from God. The things closest to my heart are filled in abundance. I think it's what I do withy blessings that matters.

Materialism is the evil here as people are worshipping things made by man. That is not the same as being blessed by God like Solomon. Your sin is not being blessed with wealth. Your sin is not managing that wealth in a manor that would please God the Father.
Think of it like this; the sin is not having a basement full of wine. The sin is repeatedly and knowingly drinking too much wine at any one time becoming drunk. The money is no more evil than the wine. Both can be held in large quantities and both can do good or evil based on how they are used.

Yes we should be mature enough to know we shouldn't feel good about material things. BUT it sure does feel good when we can give and take care of others needs and not just others we know or who are close to us. It is not bad to have ALOT OF MONEY. our hope is not in money.
