Personally, I think both sets of fans will have no complaints with how it’s worked out. As a Villa fan, I’d have been happy with Wilson or Watkins.
I wouldn’t swap Watkins for Wilson now and I’m sure Newcastle fans wouldn’t swap Wilson for Watkins. No harm, no foul.
One thing I suspect both sets of fans can agree on, (along with most neutrals), is that we all want to see an end to the “Sky Six” monopoly on European football and the associated money. It’s great to be following two clubs who now appear capable of disrupting the status quo we’ve seen for the last decade and it’s a brilliant time to be a Villa or a Newcastle fan! 💜💙

Interesting but I’ve seen in other docs on Callum, he actually didn’t want to go back to the Midlands for personal reasons. Sure both clubs were a draw and was a hard choice but think he can be happy with his choice. Great to see both clubs doing well.

As a Villa fan, I appreciate where he is coming from. And I think he made the right decision for him and I have no doubt Newcastle fans are happy he did too. Similarly for Watkins, we love the guy, it all worked out as it should.
As a villa fan I can happily say we NEVER tyres to sign him as soon as we found out he was gonna cost over 10m we was like naaaaa f that now we have Watkins who is a better player so he didn't have a choice only Newcastle bidded for him

Besides interesting one that came up a few years ago, Coventry for a long period of time sold the most Newcastle shirts outside of Newcastle and for some reason there’s long been a community of Newcastle supporters there, probably something to do with all the mutual players over the years (Bellamy, Huckerby, Quinn, Bigirimana, Best, Murphy, Sterry, Armstrong etc…)
Simple answer, Newcastle were desperate for a goalscorer and could guarentee him gametime. Win/Win
Im glad he picked newcastle because villa ended up with watkins whos younger and arguably in better form. Wilson js good but watkins pressing is unmatched

Money was the ONLY reason Wilson went to Newcastle, as both Villa & Newcastle were both in similar positions regarding league/new owners/on the rise etc! Big Mistake! Unai Emery V Howe! Let's see who ends up at Euro 24, Wilson or Watkins! 😂

You might want to check the capacity of Villa Park for starters because it is significantly lower than St James' Park. Hard to take casuals seriously when they can't even find accurate information via Google. Perhaps you have a plank of wood for a brain lady?
