Props to Alfo Media for listening to every artist who ever made music deep enough to form an opinion - and then turning it into a video less than an hour long. Legend.
Funny how we listen to almost the same artists and still I would’ve picked a different favorite song for basically everyone haha. But everybody got different taste, that’s the great thing about music. Awesome video, keep it up!
I actually throughly enjoyed watching this whole thing! Loved hearing our differences in what our favorite songs are and also loved finding artists I hadn’t heard of before.
i absolutely love pulp and i’m so glad they were mentioned in this video because they definitely need more recognition for their work! if anyone’s wanting a good song to listen to underwear is definitely one of their best imo! great video
As soon as this dropped I saved it in order to later enjoy it to it's fullest and it was an absolute joy listen to you discuss some of your fav music for a full hour, from so many artists, many I love myself and many others I shall check out, , had a real great time
I disagree with a lot of picks here obviously, and there’s a few great artists like PVRIS, Foster the People, Dua Lipa, Foo Fighters, Etc… but I couldn’t agree more with Lana Del Rey’s The Greatest being her best, it might be my favorite song of all time
1:06 Just clicked on this vid for fun and saw Manic Street Preachers on the list, the singles compilation National Treasures is a great place to start if you're a total novice and then you can choose the albums to dive into if the singles take your fancy
Great list but why no Adele, Guns N Roses, Joni Mitchell, Janet or Michael Jackson, Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine, Marvin Gaye, Alanis Morrisette, Harry Styles, Queen, Childish Gambino, James Brown, Sam Cooke, Tupac or Public Enemy? I realise these are submitted by viewers/followers but NOBODY mentioned any of these important artists?? That’s crazy!
Thank you for acknowledging “Here There And Everywhere” it has been my most played song on Spotify for a few years and it is one of the most underrated songs of all time. So thanks for mentioning it
This video was amazing. You are constantly showing me artists I've either never heard before, or I've just never given a try. But since I respect your opinion so much, it makes me go and listen to that artist I never gave a chance to. So thanks for the new music that I'm always fiending for.
Completely agree on the Sweet Trip pick, Design: 2: 3 has been of the most impactful songs to my life that I can think of and it still blows me away everytime
29:54 I don't blame you one bit. I discovered this exact Magdalena Bay song last week on Brad Taste In Music's paid song request stream, and I checked out the Mercurial World album. I've been absolutely loving it since.
elton john is one of my favorite artists ever, but i would have love to seen your song or saturday nights alright for fighting. i’m honestly just happy you’ve talked about him for once. domt worry i’ll comment again when sufjan comes around
Seeing that you do t know everclear broke my heart haha. Part 2? Def Leppard, Ninja Sex Party, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Stones, A Day To Remember, Poison, Pendulum, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Boston?
You can tell how great of an artist Sufjan is that I’m disappointed he chose a song that would be most other’s best. But Carrie and Lowell always was an album I have to be in a particular mood for, much more than any of his others.
An exhaustive list of artists that made me smile when they appeared (continuing as I watch) (unfinished ;w;) 3:27 The B-52’s 5:33 Björk 11:38 Bowie 23:42 Kate Bush
Weezer's white album is incredible, and I agree with your take that it's on even footing with pinkerton and blue. Also neon gravestones is the best song on trench, and while I'm biased towards their early stuff, I totally respect the pick.
The video is crazy. Itd be kinda hype for a part 2 with David Bowie, Jeff Buckley, King Crimson, MCR, New Order, Pixies, Husker Du, New York Dolls, Television, MBV, Earth Wind and Fire just to list a few I could think of right away
Ive never heard anyone else talk abt the nostalgia of Rockband! Affected how I hear classics like Dani California and Black Hole Sun as they fit this special place in my heart
By the title I thought that you would imagine how your favorite song would be if it wore made by other artists. What the video is acctualy about makes way more sense
Your pick for the best Taylor Swift aonf is.. yeah, there’s really no other choice. It truly is a masterpiece. The song is 10 minutes long, but those 10 minutes absolutely fly by
i mean, it's a pretty good song, but she has some other contenders to the title of best songs (champagne problems, death by a thousand cuts, etc), but since it's a favorite songs type of video, any songs (except ME! and gourgeous lol) could make the cut
This video took 2 hours to watch because I was busy looking up all the songs I didn't know.. Thanks for fleshing out my spotify playlists man. Loved the video.
I ADORE Neon Indian. My personal favorite album of his is Era Extraña, which has a double meaning if you are a fellow Spanish speaker. It evokes the feeling of laying in your bed on a hot summer day. Alan Palomo tried to use a little samples as possible, focusing on making every sound himself. As a result you get an entirely unique sound and feeling that can only really be found in this album. My favorites from this album are Polish Girl, Hex Girlfriend, Fallout, Halogen (I Could Be A Shadow), and Arcade Blues. Enjoy!
I have yet to find another artist or album that summon the same feel as this particular album. The closest artists I could find were maybe Tame Impala, Yeasayer, or Washed Out.
If you ever do a Part 2 (even though you don’t want to do more talking), my suggestions are: - Tally Hall (encompasses Tally Hall, Miracle Musical, Joe Hawley, Rob Cantor, Andrew Horowitz/edu [search Sketches 3D edu, that’s the one I’m talking about], Ross Federman aka Mr F aka DJ Ross Federman of Tally Hall) - Will Wood and the Tapeworms - The Hoosiers (one of their songs was in a Toy Story 3 trailer) - Pendragon - Wang Chung - Queen (if you want) - David Bowie (if you want)
march madness is obviouslly a classic BUT you have to check out c*deine crazy and the mixtape it came from monster, its by far futures best project and c*deine crazy is a top 10 hiphop song in my opinion
Its a fun exercise. Also interesting that there is literally 0 of these songs that I would consider my favourite by any of these artists in my own version of this.
Oh my god I knew you were cool but you naming Leave a Tender Moment Alone and highlighting the 1985 Live at Wembley performance for your top Billy Joel pick put me over the top. You are certifiably cool. Making my way through the video, interested in seeing your picks for Kanye, Sade, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder, Sly & the Family Stone, Warren Zevon, The Police, Fiona Apple, D'Angelo, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young (assuming people asked you about them, some of them I'm sure you'll cover, others I'm not so sure)
yeah, a lot of these are just the artist’s most famous/most popular track 😭 which is like … fine but for some of them if you’ve listened to the entire catalog that pick as a favorite song would make no sense
as the self proclaimed number 1 zack villere stan, i very much appreciate you taking my suggestion and talking about him. makes me happy. i saw him debut sore throat live in new york once, that was a lotta fun
there's some amazing artists to check out in that selection of artists you don't know enough about (manic street preachers, simply red, the pretenders etc.) but i'm utterly disgusted you chose not to include minecraftawesumeparodies!
I genuinely think this one one of the coolest videos you’ve ever done, even if you weren’t the biggest fan of the band you could still find a great song from them and take time to prose thier efforts I think we could use more things like this in the world today and I thank you for that!
I prefer the masterful I Don’t Want To Let You Go in terms of slow, depressing endings, but Endless Bummer is easily one of my favorites from the past few albums. It’s a beautiful song that’s perfect for crying to. I can’t wait to party to SZNS, but I’m also hoping for more slow songs like that.
*Popular or less popular but great artists who should defo be noted imo (including my fav song):* 2Pac - Dear Mama Aerosmith - Dream On Ariana Grande - idk don't really have a fav Aurora - the only song I know is Runaway but she's really talented Backstreet Boys - I Want It That Way OF COURSE Blink 182 - I Miss You Bob Marley - Redemption Song Bon Jovi - too many good songs to list he's such a legend Chase Atlantic - Swim or Into It Cher - If I Could Turn Back Time Doja Cat - Rules or You Right Dua Lipa - Levitating Eminem - literally every song, but Imma go with Lose Yourself cause it's the most special song to me Giveon - Heartbreak Anniversary Hippie Sabotage - Trust Nobody Jennifer Lopez - Jenny from the Block Justin Bieber - don't really listen to his songs so I have no fav Katy Perry - same with Justin Bieber, I don't listen to her Lil Peep - crybaby or Falling Down Melanie Martinez - I can't decide I like a lot of songs...maybe Fire Drill? Michael Jackson - so many legendary songs but Earth Song gets me every time MGMT - Electric Feel The Neighbourhood - I LOVE LOVE them it's so hard to choose...but probably Daddy Issues? NSYNC - Bye Bye Bye obv Oliver Tree - Miracle Man or Cash Machine Olivia Rodrigo - don't have a fav really I only know driver's license OneRepublic - Wherever I Go or Let's Hurt Tonight Pop Smoke - What You Know About Love or Invincible Post Malone - Hollywood's Bleeding Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody Stromae (tho he might only be known in Europe) - Formidable or Tous Les Mêmes Whitney Houston - I Wanna Dance With Somebody XXXTentacion - don't hate me I thought SAD! was pretty decent
My favourite songs from the artists you didn't know anything about or couldn't name one song: Ariana Grande - Into You or God Is A Woman Bon Jovi - Living On A Prayer(I know it's a basic choice) Justin Bieber - What Do You Mean? Katy Perry - Teenage Dream(she was mentioned in the video) Olivia Rodrigo - Brutal
It's really refreshing to see someone who prefer PYNK over Make Me Feel, or a song from Dirty Computer over any song The ArchAndroid. Though I still think that BaBopByeYa is her best song in her discography
hello! here's the spotify playlist for this video. better late than never open.spotify.com/playlist/4O8650IJlUU0cfl2chE81u?si=rcUZPQYQQ8yQqTmui6DtnA

I had the exact same thing with Don't Delete The Kisses by Wolf Alice, have vivid (and clearly fake) memories of that being in a FIFA game
Maybe it was an ad or something else related to soccer?
By the title I thought that you would imagine how your favorite song would be if it wore made by other artists. What the video is acctualy about makes way more sense
Eiffel 65 is such a truly amazing band not even Alfo media knows what his favorite song by them is
SOMEONE PLS MAKE A PLAYLIST OUTTA THIS.

Someone already did

Your pick for the best Taylor Swift aonf is.. yeah, there’s really no other choice. It truly is a masterpiece. The song is 10 minutes long, but those 10 minutes absolutely fly by
Aonf
No
i mean, it's a pretty good song, but she has some other contenders to the title of best songs (champagne problems, death by a thousand cuts, etc), but since it's a favorite songs type of video, any songs (except ME! and gourgeous lol) could make the cut
@@minatozap gourgeus is good
@@minatozap gorgeos is great. But ME! really is awful. Some day stay stay stay (I think it's fun). Superman is awful too
13:45 The greatest of all time
This video took 2 hours to watch because I was busy looking up all the songs I didn't know.. Thanks for fleshing out my spotify playlists man. Loved the video.
i watched the vidoe fully and enjoyed it,ty for making this! i appreciate you!
It's a shame he hasn't been introduced to The Wombats as every album they have released has been great
1901 was in many PlayStation adverts, which likely featured fifa at some point in time, so that’s probably where you recognise it from
Seeing Never Meant on the list is always a treasure
Watched the whole thing. My liked songs on Spotify has increased quite a bit, thanks.
I love Neon Indian too! Although Night School takes the cake for me, such a perfect album
I love stupidly long videos like this one.
If you ever do a Part 2 (even though you don’t want to do more talking), my suggestions are:
- Tally Hall (encompasses Tally Hall, Miracle Musical, Joe Hawley, Rob Cantor, Andrew Horowitz/edu [search Sketches 3D edu, that’s the one I’m talking about], Ross Federman aka Mr F aka DJ Ross Federman of Tally Hall)
- Will Wood and the Tapeworms
- The Hoosiers (one of their songs was in a Toy Story 3 trailer)
- Pendragon
- Wang Chung
- Queen (if you want)
- David Bowie (if you want)
march madness is obviouslly a classic BUT you have to check out c*deine crazy and the mixtape it came from monster, its by far futures best project and c*deine crazy is a top 10 hiphop song in my opinion
you just put me on to so many new songs
This man really said "JID doesn't do a whole lot for me" ...wow 21:04

So happy for Pictures of You by The Cure on this video. Magnum Opus.
36:37 - 1901 was on the 2k13 soundtrack, you might be thinking about that. Definitely sounds like a FIFA song, tho
seeing keem on here made me so happy
After watching this video I respect you for going through all of these artist but, I couldn’t disagree with 80% of your picks more
Same
yeah, a lot of these are just the artist’s most famous/most popular track 😭 which is like … fine but for some of them if you’ve listened to the entire catalog that pick as a favorite song would make no sense
There were like 3 artists in the intro “not talking about these bands” section that I was particularly excited for this is tragic
your top beatle picks are so good
as the self proclaimed number 1 zack villere stan, i very much appreciate you taking my suggestion and talking about him. makes me happy.
i saw him debut sore throat live in new york once, that was a lotta fun
imo your best video ever, ill be coming back to this video if im ever bored of my music taste, as i do that a lot for some reason lol
3:55 this plus 1975’s Me & you together song
god it feels so amazing to hear people mention porter robinson in videos like these. nurture really is a hidden gem
there's some amazing artists to check out in that selection of artists you don't know enough about (manic street preachers, simply red, the pretenders etc.) but i'm utterly disgusted you chose not to include minecraftawesumeparodies!
Glad to see picks from the metal greats
i just came out of watching this entire video with 14 songs i'm really excited to check out!!!
What about Phil Elverum? The guy behind The Microphones (The Glow Pt. 2) and Mount Eerie (A Crow Looked at Me)
I genuinely think this one one of the coolest videos you’ve ever done, even if you weren’t the biggest fan of the band you could still find a great song from them and take time to prose thier efforts I think we could use more things like this in the world today and I thank you for that!
This is hard, if someone ask me what's my fav song of a particular artist I'll go.....blank
LOVE endless bummer one of my favorite tracks off white glad it's your favorite song
Queen not being on here is wild 😅
Yes
To quote alfo’s favorite artist, “some of them dyslexic. they favorite 50 cent song 12 questions” - Kanye west
I know like half of these and could not name any songs for more.
I have been here since the metal video and waiting for the follow up
*Popular or less popular but great artists who should defo be noted imo (including my fav song):*
2Pac - Dear Mama
Aerosmith - Dream On
Ariana Grande - idk don't really have a fav
Aurora - the only song I know is Runaway but she's really talented

Chase Atlantic - Swim or Into It

Jennifer Lopez - Jenny from the Block
Justin Bieber - don't really listen to his songs so I have no fav
Katy Perry - same with Justin Bieber, I don't listen to her
Lil Peep - crybaby or Falling Down
Melanie Martinez - I can't decide I like a lot of songs...maybe Fire Drill?
Michael Jackson - so many legendary songs but Earth Song gets me every time
MGMT - Electric Feel

My favourite songs from the artists you didn't know anything about or couldn't name one song:
Ariana Grande - Into You or God Is A Woman
Bon Jovi - Living On A Prayer(I know it's a basic choice)
Justin Bieber - What Do You Mean?
Katy Perry - Teenage Dream(she was mentioned in the video)
Olivia Rodrigo - Brutal
Frank Sinatra
GNR - Sweet Child O mine
It's really refreshing to see someone who prefer PYNK over Make Me Feel, or a song from Dirty Computer over any song The ArchAndroid.
Though I still think that BaBopByeYa is her best song in her discography
I apreciate the effort u put in this video
weird fishes being the favorite radiohead song makes me so happy
Great list but I see no Post Malone, Eminem, Pond, A$AP Rocky, Andre 3000, Fleetwood Mac, John Lennon, Logic, Wale, Big Sean, Lil Nas X and Roddy Rich
Gonna need another one of these videos
