The final of 76th Independence Day Knockout Football Tournament 2022 played between SARA Gumpa and Singtam JVC.

August 15 (IPR): The 76th Independence Day Football knockout tournament in memory of Late Hari Maya Sharma(Dulal), organised by Pakyong Sporting Club concluded today at St Xavier's School Ground, Pakyong, today.
The action packed final match was battled between JVC Singtam vs. Sahara Gumpa,Pakyong, with a score of 2-1, which made JVC Singtam winner of the final trophy with a cash prize of Rupees 3 lakhs, while the runner up Sahara Gumpa lifted cash prize of Rupees 2 lakhs along with the trophy.
MLA Shri Em Prasad Sharma, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, accompanied by his father Shri B .S Dulal and spouse Smt. Tika Dulal, along with Shri Inchun Bhutia- Advisor (Food and Civil Supplies), Shri Dubo Bhutia- Advisor (Printing and Stationary), Shri Sonam Sherpa- Chairman (Culture Dept), Shri B B Chettri- Chairman(Co-operative Dept),Shri P.K Subba-OSD Agriculture Dept, District Collector- Shri Tashi Chophel, SP Pakyong, ADC Pakyong, ADC Pakyong (Dev), HoDs from various line departments, Govt officials and the general public.
