    I have one of these for home prep. The fact you can store LPG indefinitely means when I had to use it after 2 years set up outside in a waterproof box it just started up on the key and off you go.. Great machine!

      Very true! The motor will last much longer on propane too! Gasoline tries to break down the engine oil where propane does not! 👍

    I've had good luck with mine. Seems well built and very quiet.

    I just got the same generator too. I have about 6 hours on mine. Make sure you change the oil a few times. I changed mine 3 times before it started to look like normal oil

      Do you guys know the thread size of the dipstick? I want to add a magnetic dipstick when I get mine

      I saw a review where it looked like gas leaked out while changing the oil. IS that true?

    Thanks for the review. Is this generator still performing for you? Would you buy it again? Have you had to deal with customer service at Genmax over any issues? Thanks-

    Where do you store extra fuel ? The box doesn’t look big enough to keep a gas can in.

    Do you run the generator inside that box? It seems like it would overheat.

      I found mine on ebay. Got it second hand from someone. I've looked all over it for a sticker with a brand name but there isn't one.

    Why do you need to use that adapter on a 30Amp RV cord?

    • @offgridphilosophy7959
      @offgridphilosophy7959  ปีที่แล้ว

      The gen comes with a twist lock outlet and I'm using a standard rv plug. The generator comes with the adapter incase you use a standard rv plug in.

      I got it on ebay and there is no comaany name on it. I understand everyone's frustration from not finding a box in these exact dimensions. I'm trying to find one too.

    does the genmax 3500 generator battery charge it self when running

    • @offgridphilosophy7959
      @offgridphilosophy7959  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. If it's been sitting for a few months I'll use the pull starter but after that just use the start button. If you leave it sitting for months it's good to unplug the battery first👍

    I really don't understand why people follow propane. I mean it's like the next coolest thing out there besides solar. Propane ain't cheap, and you ain't got to carry around no hundred gallon container or propane either. Your people are funny people boy it's like playing all the leader right cliff

      I can give plenty of reasons why propane can be better than gas.
