    Excellent video...one of your best in my opinion! Good story telling/commentary, love hearing the natural outdoors sounds instead of music. Super kewl footage of the Mountain Lion and Bear. Great work guys!

    Why do you kill bears. Serious question. I really have no idea - do you need to cull their numbers?

    That was great, the cougar and bear! Where is your hunt? Montana? What is your mountain lion season? We can shoot cougars all year in Oregon and I have a tag at all times? I would have taken it. Way to go in this hunt! Thank you for the video.

    If you don't mind me asking, about where in Montana is this? West, in the Bitterroot area?

    • @MontanaWild
      @MontanaWild  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      False. Much further west. Everyone should go to the Crazies though.

    I literally cannot understand the point in killing bears. You literally killed it for sport and trophy? At least in fishing you can catch-and-release, but what sport is there in killing the animal that serves you no purpose? I despise hunters who kill for no reason.

    • @jacobavery3666
      @jacobavery3666 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Roni Manasi Some people have others do the killing for them. When you eat a hamburger you are eating a cow someone killed. Hunters do the killing themselves. I killed two black bears in British Columbia this spring. A mature black bear up there kills around 1 moose every 2-3 weeks. There is approximately 120,000 to 160,000 black bears in British Columbia. So when every mature black bear eats a moose calf or cow every 2-3 weeks then how many moose will there be after 5 years. NONE. Hunters play a huge part in conservation. When a deer is killed it doesn't effect hardly anything as there are massive deer populations. The government assigns quotas accordingly to the population of the game you are pursuing. The government understands that the bear population in Montana is healthy so they assign a quota that will help wildlife numbers stay healthy. Don't say shit when you know hardly anything about.

    • @xjok3rxs351
      @xjok3rxs351 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't play a part in nature. It's not our job to prevent a species from going extinct. 90% of any species that has ever lived has gone extinct. It's the way nature works and it has since the beginning. Killing a bear is the same as killing any other animal. Don't compare cows and bears because cows are mass produced and hormone fed to feed the country alongside chickens and turkey. If bears are such great sources of food why aren't the farms mass producing and hormone feeding bears and turning them into burgers? You're not in any way to greater yourself and be the disciplinarian. You don't take it upon yourself to end another living beings life for sport, regardless of government issued quota to keep the moose from dying to black bears. You're argument is literally proving that it's your man made laws that give you the right to kill an animal, a majestic one at that, so that a moose isn't killed. Don't play God in nature. It's not anyone's job. Don't say I don't know shit when you never even addressed my argument and dodged it.

    • @xjok3rxs351
      @xjok3rxs351 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's called the food chain. I don't need to be in any position of judgement to know what is and what is not universally true. 90% of all species that have lived are extinct. That is without our help. That's how nature works. We are not the ones to make a judgement call on which species are worth keeping and which aren't.

    • @Austin0Sneed
      @Austin0Sneed 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Roni Manasi The food chain...which we humans are a part of.

      Yes, what is your point? I hope you have a point that I can't think of because if you are about to counter argue me with what I think you're going to say then just know you're already wrong.
