New subscriber here!! I'm originally from New Jersey, but now I live in Massachusetts. I have a girlfriend in NJ that her son is Autistic. One day I was just crocheting some thing or other and I made a curly q. Her son sat and watched me crochet it. After I was done, he stood next to me, reached out his hand for it and I handed it to him. He was so excited!! So, I then used about 8 different colors and crocheted more of them in different lengths and tied them all together, he was so happy. He took it to school with him and his teachers wanted to know where he had gotten such a crazy looking thing. His mom said that I crocheted it for him. His teachers praised me and said that it helps to quiet him down. So I made enough of them for his whole class including his teachers.
That’s such a lovely story! And what a lovely thing you do 🥰❤️ Welcome to the channel- we’re so happy to have you here and hope you enjoy my ramblings 🥳❤️
You addressed all my downfalls in making these wee wormies, thank you so much. Don't under estimate your teaching videos. I found this so helpful, thank you 🙂
I really enjoyed your demo of making these. You have very good step by step instructions. I know you say you don't feel comfortable doing how to videos, but you were fantastic and will get better the more you do. I personally like your version with the eyes and head. Just saying. Have a great day!
Thank you so much Lana! That means a lot to me. Maybe I will try and be braver and do more in the future 🥰 I’m pleased I did different versions to give you all the options to choose from. Big love to you ❤️
I just love your videos, Alice. You spread joy. 💗Your videos always lift my spirits, so thank you! And the worry worms will make great gifts! Take good care of yourself 😊
Hello Lovely Alice - you did really well showing us how you make your worry worms😊They look so cute! I hope your cold clears up quickly Sweetie. 😁Yay!! You've got past the 600 mark!! I made some worms & some little keyrings to send to my great niece & nephew who went out with their Mum to hang them around their area for the Random Acts of Crochet Kindness. HookedbyRobin has some tutorials for anyone wanting to make any little things from scrap yarn to hang out for people. They really enjoyed it & some people who found them posted pics on the Facebook page to say thank you which was sweet. Best wishes for your daughter - hope you both have a great day on her birthday! 🧡x
Aw lovely Annie!! Always love your messages ❤️ love hearing your little worms made for some very happy strangers, it’s such a wonderful thing to do. Lots of love to you 🥰

Best instructions ever, thank you x
Alice, you did great. I could follow every step you did. Thank you. You did a great job.
I love these! I make them for ADHD students in the school I volunteer in, it’s a great fidget toy, but isn’t distracting in the same way pop toys are!
And they’re not noisy either like some of the fidget toys. What a great idea to give them to the students you work with 😍
You are the best teacher i have found. You explain well thank you

I've just recently started these again & I love them. I've made some small ones & different size & some with 2 different yarns.
They’re so versatile aren’t they!! ❤️

In ours too! Who’d want to be ‘normal’?!? 😁❤️
Insecure or boring people I would think.
