යකාගෙ පඩිපෙල | Devil's Staircase | Kalupahana Junction to Ohiya

"Devil's Staircase" in one of the most dangerous roads in Sri Lanka, also known as "Yakage Padipela." The 14 km Devil's Staircase trail connects Kalupahana and Ohiya. It is advised that only highly experienced hikers / drivers / riders take the route because it has so many steep ascents and abrupt zigzag twists. Along the trip, there are more intriguing sights to view as well as some magnificent scenery. There are three ways to climb the Devil's staircase: on foot, by motorbike, or in a 4x4 jeep, however the finest ways to experience the breathtaking natural splendor of the area are on a motorcycle or on foot.
