How many modes do you want? Yes.
I have been a fan of Ibanez guitars for years. The pinnacle of design was achieved in the Saber 'S' series. Light weight, straight string path, no string tree and sane jack placement.
The AZ is 10 steps backward. Instead of tilting the headstock they put in string trees, introducing drag and friction. Instard of push/pull pots, they give you micro switches. But the stupidest new design is putting the jack on the base of the guitar. A move which guarantees that you will either damage the guitar or jack if you do what 90% of guitarists do that is leaning your guitar against something. Yet no 'reviewer' has ever mentioned this bone-headed move. They just ignore it and take the money for giving out rave reviews. The AZ series is a money grab. You are better off seeking out older models when Ibanez made forward looking instruments.
The AZ are the strat-like guitar lineup, more like super strats. So they come with the virtues and flaws associated to that kind of guitar.
Look is perfect, but clean tone is too dry.
The name on the headstock ruins it.
Why? Looks cool imo
@@Driftuner Each to there own I suppose Persy.
Sound like plastic toy.
