Wow, just Wow. Absolutely amazing work Sean... That has to be the nicest 1/48 Corsair I have ever seen. Really enjoyed following the build series and looking forward to your next Project. Take Care :) Cheers, Andrew.
I use pretty much exclusively Vallejo model air paints. I only get those white spots with the blues. I honestly just move them around while they are still wet and call it post shade fading lol.
Another awesome build, thanks. I would love to see you build a 1/48 scale B-17G called "A Bit O Lace" in all her dirty, grimey, weathered glory. Not too much in the way of interior detail, but oh man, will the exterior challenge you. Thanks again for sharing your skills.
I love it mate! The Corsair is one sexy looking warbird. I reckon this aircraft is reponsible for the beginning of hot rodding when the boys who were lucky enough to make it home after the war, had some coin and bought up all the wrecked cars and made them go again with their newfound mechanical skills.
Great build!!! For tires, not sure if this is best, but I hear them slightly over a candle and the gentle push down on them. It gives that natural bulging of the tire and makes one flat area. Must handle with care cause you can push too hard or warp if you’re not careful but have been happy with my builds. This is freaking awesome version. Though. Great work.
Lovely work mate…that’s a very pleasing completion….thanks for the build video..(if you don’t start a new one before Christmas, hope you and family have a happy and safe one)….regards Mick.
Nice finish sean, btr goin on ebay than sitting gathering dust, beard fairly commin along, another couple of yrs if it gets any whiter u can get the parrt of santa, need 2 work on getting the belly aswell
@@deeharris1908 lol. I lost about 20lbs when I started having gallbladder issues. After having it removed I’ve gained back 10 so I’m headed towards Santa status.
Watched all 6 like 10 times. Really leveled up my thinking and techniques!
@@jasonrigneyakae4dragongunn30 awesome!
That is a great looking model and awesome sample of the Corsair. Thanks for sharing.

@@5EyesIsntWatching lol. Accidentally weathering.
@seanerk5kt9 exactly lol. Thin the blues with water and the white spots are lessened.
Thanks for showing your airbrushing more on this one. I like your poster paper trick, always learning from ya-
Corsair looks great ,mate another fantastic build .😊👍
Great looking build! I really like the weathering techniques you used; I am going to have to try those.
Excellent......that's a lovely Corsair! Real eye candy 👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻

@@Leescreativeart I’ve done that with rubber tires once. Like the idea, I’ll have to experiment with some spare tires.
I have heard of using a low temp hot plate or even an old skillet to put the tires on. Use spares to get the hang of it ;)
Stunning build my friend! Love the bluish tone you got...❤❤😊

As always excellent work!👍👍👏👏
My favorite part is when you applied the final flat coat using Windsor & Newton UV varnish thinned with Vallejo airbrush thinner. Breathtaking. 😮

Hello how many hours does IT take yOu to make this model excluding drying time?
@@Michu32421 not sure but a rough estimate is 30-40 hrs
..just curious, approximately what do you charge a customer to build the 1/48 and 1/32 models?
@@Plydrms I don’t do commission work anymore… when I quit I was getting between $400-$1500 depending on the complexity of the model
@seanerk5kt9 hardly worth the man hours, but nice to get something for it.
