- I went behind the scenes into day of dragons test server with someone who works with the development crew and got a lot of our questions answered

I find this a good video to show us what they are working on and what they have but you can indeed see the similarities between dragons from Movies or other games (The Electric one is basically a Skrill without legs. The plasma one is of course similar to a Night fury. The one that can light yourself on fire is similar to the Monstrous Nightmare) but I understand why similarity would exist as there are many dragons that exist and it could become difficult to make new dragons and seeing that people like certain dragon characteristics making dragons similar can work out in the long run.
I kind of want to redo it with a little faster pace

So people who didnt know about the game or couldn't support it from the start will never be able to unlock the bio dragon and have to beg others to get nested in? What bullshit!

@@CallmePancakegaming that's totally right. Still, I would love to unlock this dragon for once and for all. Why not make it a paid dlc for people who weren't here from the start and the others get it free. Then one or two special skins for these few 100/1000 players and it's good.
@@CallmePancakegaming that's not true in pvp servers, nobody want to nest others, it's pretty unfair for players that want the kickstarter stuff but can't buy it anymore
@@cbkss4885 there will be other ways to unlock dragons
the only part Ulta left out about the Black(mela) skin is you have to be nested in as an iconic first before growing up.

The fact that the devs withhold the best dragons from us makes me not want to support the game. I payed full price from day 1, ive been patient and look forward to progress, and im not even allowed to play a dragon i want because i didnt give more money to an unfinished game that ripped designs from HTTYD? Yea im done
The only dragon out that you could be referring to is the Acid Spitter Drake. Buying the DLC gives you ability to spawn in as an ASD it won't stop u from accepting an egg from ASD parents

@@_SquishyShark_ oh shut up, the butterfly dragon is not even in yet and when it comes out nothing is stopping you from nesting as it.
@@_SquishyShark_ as for the ripped off designs i allready said my share about them.
@@_SquishyShark_ also all dragons will be unlockable without money, we don't know how but it will be possible to unlock them without the need to pay.
So the singe crest is why mix packing exist so everyone can get a healer

would kinda love that Snapping turtle thing to be a playable. Or like a Croc Dragon or something like that thats gonna grab you and drown you. Croc Dragon Hybrid could also look awesome.

Mabey with becoming an Elder you gotta be a Adult for a certain time and kill something or idk :D
They made it so you get a small percentage every 12 hours that you log on. Plus you eat special mushrooms for faster growth

Wait, are they changing the Elder sizes? The ones in game aren't even much bigger than adults. Not enough to tell at a glance like these ones are.

I am wondering if at some point, other people will be able to get kickstarter (In any sort of way) (I know its not gonne happend though) I feel like this is really unfair, even if they supported to game from the start, just giving my opinion, But I feel it sad that they can spawn has they wich, when we need to do something for get it only 1 life, I'm still happy to seee the progress of the game, but that make me a bit sad, it doesn't get out any of all the joy I have playing it Still though
tbh being able to spawn is useless anyway since fresh spawns are the weakest (besides incest eggs). better to waste yer time growing one from being nested in anyways.

Alot of these dragons its horrendously obvious how ripped they are from other “dragons” in film and tv etc the piscivore healer was basicaly the taruk maktou from avatar prob spelled the name wrong but u get the idea
Also Toothless, Cloudjumper and the skrill from How to train your dragon. Can these devs make any original designs??

2. Oh so a dragon cant have multiple wings? Aside from some superficial simmilarities there is litteraly nothing simmilar beetween the two,

The healer follows simmilar asthetics to the avatar creatures but aside from that its nothing like them.

Why do all the black screens say "INVALID" ? Is that a mistake?
Yeah... Might be why it took so long to upload the video... The first one was supposed to say test server the 2nd one said let's look at dragons and the last one was thanking ultra for her time

This game is just all concept, isn't it?
So, after this game has been out for 3 years now, let's check what we got, shall we?
- Only 2(!) playable Dragons for almost 20$.
- A third "Dragon", the Acid-Spitter, which is an 8$ DLC creature.
- Servers that aren't populated much if at all.
- The game broken down in it's most basic form, consisting of waiting for 2 hours so you can fly properly and then either kill eachother (PvP) or just chill and do NOTHING (PvE).
- Most of the Map isn't finished and is basically empty.
- There are 2 wild creatures to kill for food and both don't put up any fight at all.
Well, what news do we have then?
The next four Dragons which got announced a long time ago by now probably won't be ready for a long time to come. We MIGHT be lucky and get a new one in Summer of 2023.
So we already got a really slim amount of content available, so how could it possibly get worse? I can tell you how:
Two out of the four Dragons that are planned next, will be locked behind yet another paywall. One will be Kickstarter exclusive (so not obtainable at all for people who started playing after the Alpha concluded or didn't find out about this game sooner), while the other one will become the SECOND PAYED DLC in a god damn BETA game.
To add on top of this: Those new four Dragons aren't really that much further than shown here a year ago. Some animations have been done, but thats all there is to tell about them.
I really like the idea of this game. I really do. Personally, I wish it would become the gem I imagined it to be. The sad reality at the moment tho is that it's just unfinished, boring and a pure waiting simulator with a really slim amount of content to offer. I didn't expect much, but holy moly I am a bit let down that basically nothing happend in the last year.

One can't deny tho that this small Studio seems a little overwhelmed with their task. I bought the game to Support them, but man ... after so much time I kinda want something in return by now. If you are right and we get the Inferno Reaper in the next 6 month, I think we got atleast something to get new people into the game.
Those paid Dlcs in a Beta are ... Not so nice tho. Doesn't feel great to pay for something and 1/3 of the content is behind another paywall.
The idea that their is a pay wall to any dragon is false. yes you have to pay for the dlc if you want to choose some dragons right out of the gate. However you can always be nested in as any dragon without paying for it. day of dragons has not really had anything new so yes the servers can be a little sparse at times, however everyone is waiting for 1.0 to come out and when it does their will be tons to do... that is expected within the next 6 months. This is a team of around 12 people working their butts off to make it happen. as for nothing to do... yeah you are right to an extent. I find mushroom hunting to reach elder is fun. also breeding to get the best stats is pretty great as well. but its a sandbox game. You are supposed to make your own fun... Play it how you want to play it

Out of all the dragons in this video, all will be unlockable per server (except the Bio dragon). Even if you aren't a Kickstarter =)
@@cfowler7936 the unlocking method is still unknown. I highly doubt it’ll be as simple as being nested as it, but we’ll find out later as they are released

The graphics are starting to look more like the isle or path of titans
When are all those dragons coming out?
No ETA's, as most are waiting on their animators to get to them. They only have 2 animators and each one works on one dragon at a time. It's takes a while per dragon, so they will be added as they get finished. The two currently being animated are the Flame Stalker and Inferno Ravager. They will be the next two in once they get finished.

Actually i dont like this hybrid system. Need to find an egg everytime in an big ass map and take care of it? Sorry but this is garbage. It would be better to incubate the egg one time only and unlock it fully without needing to do it again.
