ruff, I feel like many self improvement channels become a business. highly edited, same style every time, and focused on being alpha. Are you different? I feel like you are. This is why I support you. You are unique.
its a brand, usually. he clearly is taking this seriously by hiring an editor, consistently upload and (id assume) thinking of video ideas. i respect the man and his immense growth, but his main priority is to gain subscribers, as is everyone elses
Every relatively new self improvent youtuber starts out being authentic with the purpose of spreading knowledge and ideas, but when that runs dry they tend to shift to more of a business kind of thing with the purpose of making money while churning out the same old videos just with fancy editing and a baity thumbnail like what happened to hamza, not to say that that's a bad thing since he cant be "authentic" forever
@@yoe7824 still it would kind of suck if he does transition like taht watching hamza's older videos really is a fascinating experience cuz you get to see him provide much more grounded advice imo then again, when you self-improve, ofc you will reach that sort of business-like mindset cuz in business improvement is the driving force
i compare myself all the time with other people who are close to my level, sometimes in my head i’m like i win and other times i lose. what matters is i now know how i can beat them.
I stop comparing myself when my mom hit me with the " don't look up so long, your neck will break , instead of this , look in what you have and do what you should do , this will make go up faster " and this work so good
I have a feeling this channel is going to grow more and more, and you'll make it big, I've seen many self-improvement videos but yours just hit different they're short and simple just to the point I love it
Self improvement has become kind of a trend nowadays and most of the self improvement creators keep repeating the same things over and over again. I like how you bring in unique perspectives and provide practical advice.
Losers focus on winners. Winners focus on winning. the only time I would deviate from this, is of course, when you are speaking about yourself. If you are a loser, then it is paramount you focus on that and get out of that situation. If you knew how close you were to the place you wanted to go, you would sprint. So take all that energy you have and focus it all into a concentrated point, with that point being getting you to where you want to go in life.
but constant comparing isn't good for anyone, you also need to acknowledge the fact that getting envious of others is natural and wired to us for a long time since it was essential for our survival. If you constantly compare yourself with others even if they are around your level you'd be never satisfied with yourself which will negatively impact your self-esteem. You should also give time to reflect on yourself to see how far you have come, and how much progress you have made in the last few years and appreciate your hard work. Also, no human is immortal, no matter what someone achieves in life we all gonna end up in the same place, let's say someone is taller than you, is he going to have that height forever? of course not! In time, he will grow old and start to lose his posture and after his death, it'll fade away with him, the same can be said for someone's beauty and physique, it'll fade away as the person grows old. So, everything a human possessed is temporary then why waste your time constantly comparing with the things that are not permanent? I'm not saying you should stop comparing yourself to others because it's not humanly possible but rather than constant comparison why not balance between comparison for growth and self-reflect to boost your self-esteem.
I’ve been comparing my self in bad way this pass 4 years and really it effects me so bad and really like saying to my self why not have this do this that like they do the last year I start to work just to be better and achieve more and most likely in my study I got my bad degree and I got in college now I am studying pharmacy putting things together after this all time I was comparing my self in way made me more productive and hardworking…… Ruff you are one of the creators that I watch daily and I really love watching all of your videos and Kipp going bro all love and support from Algeria
The way I see it is this. If you are only comparing yourself to other people’s achievements in life and thinking why you aren’t there then comparison is bad for you. But if you are comparing yourself to others and thinking about what you need to do to become more like them, how you can improve and get better, then it’s good for you.
I will never accept to compare with somebody else. Im comparing with myself from a week ago, maybe a month ago, and will feel proud or dissapointed. "Comparison is the death of joy". That example with Usain Bolt it is not good, because that is a very specific and isolated scenario, where he is competing to the highest nivel, the same with other situations. But our daily life is so monotone and generic that its very toxic to compare with others. I can find good examples and bad examples to compare with, but at the end of the day, i have my own journey with my own pathway.
Idk I feel like comparing myself to people who are way way ahead give me that "this is how good you can get" feeling, I don't feel bad about myself but feel hyped to know there's such a huge amount of room to grow. But makes sense since not everyone has the same mindset.
I like how you speak, boy. Though I agree with many of what you said, some of it doesn't sink with me. I'm not saying it's wrong, but it just shows your inexperience (and to a degree, your immaturity). This reminds me when I was around 18 yrs old or so, but I'm 24 now. You're wise at your age, but you'll get wiser later on; you'll learn more as you leave school and begin working. I wonder what will happen to you 6 or so years from now. How will you react with your past vids? Will you have changed by then such that you see them with disdain? Or perhaps you maintain the ideals you have exhibited and view your clips with confidence? This is the true comparison or reflection that you need to make in the future. More power to you, boy.
Competition drives growth and improvement, thanks a bunch for the advice again Ruff! I do hope you compare and compete more in life for even greater success! ❤
Only compare yourself to others when you are pleased with yourself; it is like a hierarchy, where you can only achieve something by achieving something else beforehand
I noticed this in my middle-high school music career, when I was in a high lv 2 band class I would make the most of the time spent at rehearsal to improve to "catch up," then during the online schooling I had no one to compare to and stopped practicing, I was placed in a lower lv3 class that didnt take the instruments seriously so it was much harder to improve, I instead compared myself to friends I met in marching band who WERE in the higher level classes and then got moved up to lv 2 and placed 1st chair, then got bumped up to the highest lv 1 class.
That's a nice way to look at it. Comparing yourself to the old version of you, is a bit lonely sometimes. That's one way to put it. I remembered when I was in Senior Highschool, there was this one friend where we would Speed Cubing 3x3, were almost on the almost same average solving speed, so we always compare our solves to each other and push tips and tricks on how to solve faster. We would watch pro speedcubers as well. When we graduated, from the average of 23 seconds, my average became 15 seconds. My personal best was 8 seconds. That's what I think of this video. Hope my interpretation is correct.
Stopped watching other motivation channels after I found yours. Ruff you take an interesting and logical perspective on topics and successfully express them in a way that make sense. This is not something everyone does.
I wonder how this guy has bottled up this amount of huge profundity and wisdom. Each vedio of yours so me the way to think a little differently on the most mundane things in life. Well done Ruff.
Thus us literally the only channel i dont bunge watch... After consuming one vedio here i just put my phone aside to be productive bcoz of the quality of the content conveyed very precisely yet with humour
Its actually so true i had a girl in my class who was good at a certain subject and i was bad but after some time and a 2 months of hard work somehow i managed to become alot better than i expected what he is saying that if you compare yourself to pepole for example a guy in my class knows like 11th grade math equations and we are getting to 10th dont compare yourself to someone which is obviously alot better than you it will drag you down and dont compete with him compete with those you know that they worked hard and if you work hard as them you will be better or surpass them amazing vid i cant belive i forgot it.
I like to compare myself with people who are 1 level ahead of me, because beating them is achievable and fun .if i do the same with people who are master in their field , it becomes depressing. So i am going to follow your advice that rather than comaring myself to great people take,i should inspiration from them .thanks for the wonderful advice
I completely agree with you, comparing is a must however i noticed that i was an obsessive competitor and a sore looser for doing so, something as simple as a 1 mark difference made me either boastfull or an ass. I am now working on that competitive nature and accepting what i have.
It's also good to realize that not everybody is running the same race, we all have our own ways of growing and that's why we shouldn't call people weak because of this and that.

What a lot of people overthink is comparing yourself to yourself. Not to others, but to yourself. I understand the points of comparing yourself to others as it develops competition and allows you to gain extra motivation to push forward and beat who's in front of you. Yet, most of the time, comparing yourself to yourself is simply better in my opinion. For example, you finished your school year and got a 3.8 GPA. There were 3 people who got a higher GPA than you. Most would consider this a failure, however, you had a 3.5 GPA last year. That year is a massive success for you. You must keep doing better and focusing on yourself rather than others. I like that your videos are short, but concise. Somehow I feel like I can grow and see other perspectives and it ends up with me actually taking action and leaving youtube to do stuff lmao. Ohhh yooo he’s letting the jokes land a little more, mhmmm he’s getting that much closer to being for real laugh out loud funny, he just needs to break through the wall stopping him. Let’s gooooeee
For me i feel like quotes depend on how the person views it i might compare myself to someone so far ahead but that motivates and makes me wonder how i can surpass and get to that level.
Taking notes on this bro this enlighting and I dont see this as a negative impact. Love the tips bro might as well compete on the editing of your current editor rn HAHAHAHHA jk anyways ill sub!!
Interesting video. Pretty straightforward message too, compare to improve (though I don’t often do that), realistic expectations, naturally. Well, unhealthy comparison is in correlation to unrealistic expectations, after all. Makes me curious of how you manage to consistently construct these ideas to scripts so fluently even though we’re of the same age and I’m still trying to figure stuff out in life without many grounded opinions, anyways I’m definitely looking forward to more. If you just go into a field compare yourself with someone who's good in that field
Maybe you will win him and reach a place witn hardwork and dedicating time
But soon you will look back and realise "I didn't do it for me" and then now you would've completely lost what you are and what you actually wanted to do with your life
That's the main problem with comparison
It gives a fake sense of purpose to beat someone in something you don't actually need to
I myself before like 4 years I compared myself to the smart kid of the class
So I worked harder to beat him... finally beat him in the final exam of highschool
But now what should I do
This not what I wanted...i just wanted to be more social have more friends...now I am turned into someone I'm not and I'm no longer feeling motivated to do anything good
Now I started taking some actions and I'm gettin some level of control over my life
Happy that I realised it sooner tho
The main takeaway point is
When you compare yourself to someone you're actually limiting your goal. After winning someone you wanted to beat you will be searching for other motivation only to realise there's nothing like that in it. You get internal motivation only if you absolutely do what you love.
Loving the growth 🙌🏻

bro is grinding so hard so that he reaches 100k
I like that your videos are short, but concise. Somehow I feel like I can grow and see other perspectives and it ends up with me actually taking action and leaving youtube to do stuff lmao. Also, can't believe I wait for the *muah* at the end, what is this? are you fostering all of us? jk. Great impact, ruff uff Ruff!
I was a sloth yesterday, a turtle today and going to be a cheetah someday. Never comparing myself to kangaroos again!
Ohhh yooo he’s letting the jokes land a little more, mhmmm he’s getting that much closer to being for real laugh out loud funny, he just needs to break through the wall stopping him. Let’s gooooeee
Nvm I saw some past vids and he lets those jokes land and they crack me up.
So glad I found this channel!
For me i feel like quotes depend on how the person views it i might compare myself to someone so far ahead but that motivates and makes me wonder how i can surpass and get to that level.

Hey can please do a video about controlling anger or basically any emotions, when other people are insulting you

Too lazy to write anything so imma just write this. Great video ruff!
Damn you really grew ruff even though i only discovered your channel a week ago you gained over 30k subs.
The high level content we need❤🔥 keep it up!!!!
Road to 100k subs, yeah?
I swear he was at 65k subs or smt yest- , damnnn bro congrats on 75k subs
Bro like if you upload these kind of videos I would be the first to watch for sure and these are so cool, absolutely loved it ❤
