This game was awesome back in the day. School nights, getting out of the shower and getting in bed and playing some Clubhouse Games online before bed. Even the little clock in the top right corner was awesome. Thank you for helping me remember these days. Great video
When I got my ds back in elementary school this was one of the first games my mom bought for me, and I always loved it. Played so many hours of it when between 9 and 14 years old, that's how much I loved it. The music was so soothing and never got enough of it, it gave me chills when I heard it on your video. I still have the game somewhere in my room, and now that I'm 23 I still wanna play the hell out of it all over again. Hopefully the switch sequel lives up to the name and makes for good memories for a lot of people just the way it did for us back in the day.
this game was great! I played it so much growing up and never grew bored of it, the amount of content packed into this one, seemingly simple game is unbelievable
As a huge DS kid, I wish I had known about this game. Did you see the newest trailer? I'm looking forward to the sequel because it reminds me of Wii Play with some Wii Sports.
@@bbenny9033 yeah but where it may lack a bit all the new card games and board games I'd never played before and got to learn made the game so much more than I expected

Reflecting on 51 worldwide games, I brought out my 3DS and copy of 42 all time classics DS (thats what Clubhouse Games is called here in England) and started to play again. In conversation, I often say 42 classic games is one of my favourite DS games and it truly is a gem for those who discovered it. Its funny how much you learn from it too, over a decade since first owning it, I finally understand how to play well at turncoat (Othello). That makes me really happy. I remember I had money to spend as an 11 year old, so I went down to the local EB Games and I saw two games catch my eye, being Carnival Games and Clubhouse Games. I'm so glad little me picked up Clubhouse Games, it's given me lots of fun memories with my siblings and introduced me to a lot of new games. My first clubhouse experience was on the DSI. I loved the aesthetic of it but never knew of the DS entry until about a month ago. Glad to see it coming to switch. reguardless of how it comes out, Im sure that with all thats going on making my internet iffy at best Ill be glued to it.
I LOVED this game, one of my absolute favorite titles. It may be one of those "you had to be there" games, but damn you just cant help but fall in love with this little game that could

I'm noticing a pattern from Nintendo recently that no one else seems to notice. Nintendo has been beginning to slowly revive old franchises from the DS era on the Switch: Last year we got Brain Age, earlier this year we got Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, and now we have Clubhouse Games. Not only that, but Nintendo also did a massive trademark renewal earlier this year. And guess what? Most of the trademarks were franchises from the DS and even ones from the early days of the 3DS.
Walabob, you're quickly becoming one of my favourite TH-camrs! Love the content. Can't wait for the new Switch game. I also bought Cooking Mama Cookstar after watching one of your recent vids! Keep it up!
Clubhouse games was the very first video game I owned that was just mine and is strangely nostalgic. It's one of my favorites, if my records of over 1,000 games of word balloon are anything to go by. The song that plays after a game is over is unironically one of my favorite songs in gaming.
Dude I seriously thought I was watching a video from someone with 100k subs at LEAST, this is top tier quality dude keep it up, remember me when you’re famous lol
How much love is people giving to Clubhouse is amazing. I LOVE IT! I cant afford clubhouse 51, but what I most remember are those juicy elegant games. I cant believe how I forgot the jazzy music.
I very-much enjoyed the throwback introduction! Always heartwarming to unearth a hidden diamond. While I haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing the original DS title, I’m definitely looking forward to the polish and dedication of ClubHouse Games on the Switch!
Nice video! Came here because I am also very excited about the new game on Switch and I wanted to inform myself about the original. Very high quality content, I don't understand why this channel is so unknown.
yes!! finally people are talking about this again. I used to play this for HOURS when i was little. I still remember the day my dad bought it for me from kmart. my ds eventually got stolen with thhis game in it, but a few years back I picked up another copy on the cheap and played it all over again. my friends and I used to LOVE soda shake! it felt out of place but was a cool party game.
I've played this game so so so much! As a kid I've spend days in a row just playing Hanafuda, which became my favorite. I also loved the stamp mode, so I had to play all the games, including the ones I didn't understand. Anyway, great video!
I actually used to own the original Clubhouse Games, and it was an incredibly fun and polished game that it seemed like most people just dismissed. I'm excited for the new Clubhouse Games, but with Nintendo's recent track record, I am going into its launch with tempered excitement. Great video! Keep up the good work.
I got my first DS in 2010 I believe, and I was glued to this game from the very start. Played it a lot, unlocked almost everything (except the mission stuff, I could never complete those lmao), and it's really cool seeing a video on this game since it's a game I grew up with in the early 2010s/early part of my childhood, and it's sad it's not talked about all that much
It was my favorite DS game. Your mixed feelings are appreciated. Super Mario Party still only has 4 boards and no DLC in sight. Great throwback, subscribed!
Well, when I was younger I had the game, and I really enjoyed it! It's was a lot of fun but I only had a few souvenirs of this time... But one day I found it again and played it. It was nice! But yeah, nobody talked about it, and that was sad. But like, literally 2 weeks after I started re-playing this game, the remake was announced... WHAT? I play on buying it, but I'll still remember the old one, for it's gameplay, the clear explanations and the OST, that's one of the best fitting sound track I've ever heard. Also nice videos, I really liked it and I'll check others, 'cause that looks very polished.
This is definitely one of those games I used to play underneath the bedsheets at like 2am, the music was always good at putting me to sleep, it was so good at what it did :3
I just found your channel by a random TH-cam recommendation and I couldn't be happier that I watched this! Your presentation is really professional and laid back, and that's awesome to see especially for a small channel like yours! Definitely subbed, can't wait to see what content you bring next!
the slime sound could be dimmed down a bit in its pitch/noise. And the joke with mufasas death parody u could improve if the zoom out at the end of it was slower, fitting the dramatic nooooooo more 👌
One of the first DS games I ever played, and the first (I think) I've ever owned. It was very fun. My sister would get very good at memory and I tried to learn the many games this collection has. I somehow knew much of the games due to the rules and the little animations it has. A must have for the DS and one of the most underrated out there. I can go on for hours talking about this game.
I remember the classic, played it on my DS lite, and DSI since I was 7. To this day, I still have my DSI and CHG. Unfortantly, I have no charger for my DSI. After watching this vid, I'm getting one on amazon. I know that DSI still works perfectly. I haven't had the charger for about 2-3 years now. A buddy of mine had been shot. Whist he was in the hospital recovering. I lended him my DSI. Unfortantly the charger was lost. I guess I was just too lazy to get one since then. I want to bring back the memories. P.S My dude Justin is doing very well to this day. He can't walk the best. However, he made a speedy recovery and we still hang now! Anywhom, amazing video, well put together and professional. I like from me, Sir. Cheers~ Bobby.
I loved this game when I was younger. I had it on my DS at all times, until it was stolen. We still haven't found it 8 years later, but we didn't love in a good neighbourhood. How we live in a much better place though. The middle of the woods.
I freaking loved the original game. It's one of the few games I've played at least once a year since I first got the game (And it's one I play often with my family). I pre-ordered the new game in hopes it will be as good as the original, even though I am a bit worried for the same reason you mentioned in the video
Some Nintendo channels have published some of their opinions on the pre-release of the new game. It actually seems to deliver! I'm only sad because of the lack of local multiplayer games in a single switch for 3 or 4 people. Otherwise, it looks amazing!
I had no idea that 51 is a sequel before stumbling across this video! I already pre-purchased 51, but now I’m wishing I had the opportunity to play the original as well!
It's funny, I have a list of great games I'd love to get from the new Mario Kart and Odyssey to Breath of the Wild and the fabulous Links Awakening remake but I get nervous plopping 60 bucks down on a video game with my limited budget. Then along comes the Clubhouse games announcement and before the trailer is over I immediately vow to get it day one. I remember spending so much time in the DS title. The games were quick and the download and play feature meant I could sit down and open up a board or card game any time anywhere with no cleanup. Maybe that's why I feel like I can justify the purchase so easily. It's the perfect intersection between video games and table games that means I can play with anyone regardless of their hand eye coordination or comprehension level for video games and controllers.
The DS Clubhouse Games was one of the thee most popular games on the DS. I easily put over 600+ hours into it. I had several friends that each had their own copy and put a bunch of hours into it too. I saw online articles and videos about it back then too. Even just 2 or 3 years I heard people talk about how they want a sequel to this game, or even just a port of the original game, on the Switch, as they felt it would be perfect for the Switch. So, Super glad that we are finally getting a new game in the series, on the Switch. But yeah, I bought Clubhouse Games when it first came out, and played it for a long time, as well as a bunch of people I knew, and a bunch of people I saw online too. So, good times all around. In fact, I had to buy my girlfriend her own DS and Clubhouse Games because she borrowed mine when she got sick, and then kept it for 6 months and wouldn't give it back. So I ended up buying her her own DS and Clubhouse Games so I could get mine back, as I bought other new DS games, but couldn't play them as she had my machine. But yeah, the DS Clubhouse Games was a hugely popular game. Everytime there was a brand new game that would release at midnight, everybody in line at the store would be playing Clubhouse Games in line, while waiting. Made the time go by so quick too.
Owned the original. Purchased first day it came out. I think I was the only one excited for its release in the store. I played that cartridge to pieces (not literally). It was easy to pick up and play when I wanted to de-stress or decompress. Online was pretty dope too. Easy access, easy going. I pre-purchased the new one upon announcement. Thanks for the video. Instant ‘like’.
I remember playing the takeover game all the time with 7 CPU’s, I loved knocking the colours off the board and taking their spots automatically afterwards
man, I wish I'd had this game as a kid. I had a similar but far worse compilation called 50 Classic Games that even back then I knew was bad, but I still sank hundreds of hours into it.
As I'm from the UK I always knew the game as 42 All Time Classics. I think the game was smashing, had a great variety in games and in the difficultly. I liked the simple and intermediate card games mostly. It was really a game that was perfectly suited for the DS's touchscreen and multiplayer. The switch has a trickier job with this, as they're more expensive so multiplayer is a little less likely to happen. I see there are some games that you can do multiplayer with one switch like Othello (aka Turncoat) but I don't know how card games where your hand is meant to be secret would work.
Though I never had the original clubhouse games, I did have the Clubhouse Games Express: Card classics games for Dsiware. Seeing this makes me wish I had the full game.
this game is one of my favorite games on the ds im one of the few people who has the chance to try this masterpiece forgot what did I said this game this game selled over 3M! that's insane
Pretty good video! Yeah I’m excited for this and the mini direct was the first time I’ve heard of this series. I hope this series succeeds in sales so that it can convince Nintendo to keep this up again
I’m getting the new clubhouse games, but since I have a bunch of old DSes and 3DSes lying around, I’m gonna get the original too so I can play the card games with multiple people nearby, even if they don’t have switches.
Great video, I loved this game. I was a senior in HS when it dropped and I poured hours into it. i'm excited for the new title, but disappointed it doesn't include Hearts and Spades. I play them a lot.
yeah I got the new one and was disappointed with the poker. The poker in the ds version allows 8 ai and as many rounds as you want. The switch version looks nice, but it is dumbed down.
@@soysaucehairdye7869 I like it but only having Texas Hold 'em is a bit lame. I don't mind the simplification of betting as it cuts down the bullshit a little bit, but also an option for standard betting, or at the very least more like the Blackjack betting where you can bet all of the way to 100 would have been nice. And of course, having 5 and 7 card standard poker variants. Perhaps fan demand could get these in an update [though judging by NDCube's thus far support of Super Mario Party, I expect this to be the end all be all of the game, and I can't really fault that, it's incredibly polished for what it is]
I’m yet another person who found the DS Clubhouse Games to be among my most played titles on that system. I even went so far as to pick up the Japanese version of the game as well, since it had a few different games compare to the worldwide release. It’s fun to see people who enjoyed this DS classic coming out of the woodwork in the wake of the Switch game announcement... I’m a bit surprised, though I probably shouldn’t be as I seemed to always be able to find a game of bowling or Sevens or even Hanafuda online back in the day. So there must have been a lot of us out there playing, right? ^_^
Me and my friends used to love playing soda shake and balance on single card play. I even had a second cartridge for it back in the day, not sure why tho
I lost my shit and ran around the house naked with joy when the new game for the Switch was announced. I played the original on the DS to death as a kid and absolutely loved it. It taught me how to play so many classic games. I even used it to train by playing chess on it day after day and ended up winning my school chess championships. I even remember playing games like darts online with the horrible Nintendo Wi-Fi network. One of my major regrets in my life was trading in my DS and this game for the 3DS because if I still had them, I would still be playing it to this day, at least until the new one on the Switch releases. I am telling you right now, Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics on the Switch (especially now with the pandemic and the lockdowns around the world) is going to become one of the best selling games on the Switch. It will sell at least 20 million. It is the PERFECT isolation game. That and Animal Crossing.
I loved Clubhouse Games on the DS One of the games i played a lot on that thing is Hanafuda, Very tranquil and yes, I am stoked for Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics (despite the developer in charge) because i'm happy Clubhouse Games is back If i hazard to guess why people are hyped for Clubhouse Games now as oppose to when it debuted on the DS is due to the presently ongoing COVID-19 pandemic - the same reason why Animal Crossing: New Horizons is doing gangbusters as we speak Lame excuse i know but it makes sense in the scheme of things, Clubhouse Games is another Switch game that found itself in the right place and right time because with people in their homes during this pandemic, They need to find a way to play together - Clubhouse Games is a great way to do it If anything, Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics will see the game success as Animal Crossing because of the pandemic Heck, It's releasing just in time for my birthday (July 9th) [same goes for the US debut of Mr. Driller DrillLand and the Switch release of Burnout Paradise Remastered]
I actually never really knew about Clubhouse games until the Switch version was announced. It did make me research that there was a DS version before it. It was one of the DS games I missed, which is strange because I've played other games with games, like this, in the collection, but not to the level of polish as in Clubhouse. I would've been floored at the time, if I knew. Anyway, I'm kind of psyched for the Switch version as the games they mentioned are just the kind of things I want to play on the console, as well. I always considered the Switch to be the perfect platform for board-esque game experiences, so it's nice to see support in this area, arrive. Anyway, it definitely looks like they nailed the presentation and polish, and I'm excited to learn some new classic games I never played before. Like how to actually play Shogi, though Mini-Shogi seems even more like a place to start, or Hanafuda.
I grew up with clubhouse games. I remember vividly playing darts in a family friends basement on a road trip to Idaho. Sadly I lost my original copy of the game but I hope to get the game on the switch. My sisters all have it and I played it with them and my opinion is while the game selection is great, especially with new games from around the world like shogi and Hanafuda, it lacks the charm and style the original had. I miss the little graphics and the music doesn’t really do it for me as much as the original did. And also, GIVE ME A ROLL DICE BUTTON SO I DON’T HAVE TO PRESS THE SHAKE CUP BUTTON TWICE WHEN I SHAKE THE CUP WITH THE MOTION CONTROLS. Other than all that it’s a great game.
I recently bought 51 games for switch. I fully expected it to be an impulse buy I’d play with every now and then...I play it practically every day. Big, glossy AAA titles are great, but I’ve come to learn you don’t need glamorous frills to have a fun time.
I miss this game so much. It’s the only ds game I’ve owned that I can’t find, which is just my luck. I probably gave it to my cousin like ten years ago, but if so it’s lost to time lol

P.S My dude Justin is doing very well to this day. He can't walk the best. However, he made a speedy recovery and we still hang now! Anywhom, amazing video, well put together and professional. I like from me, Sir. Cheers~ Bobby.
Viewing this video after hearing about the release of the new Switch game. You got a new subscriber! Keep it up!
I loved this game when I was younger. I had it on my DS at all times, until it was stolen. We still haven't found it 8 years later, but we didn't love in a good neighbourhood. How we live in a much better place though. The middle of the woods.
A brand new video reviewing one game I used to play as a kid!
42 All Time Classics on the DS!!
I freaking loved the original game. It's one of the few games I've played at least once a year since I first got the game (And it's one I play often with my family). I pre-ordered the new game in hopes it will be as good as the original, even though I am a bit worried for the same reason you mentioned in the video
Finally someone talks about this game! Everyone likes 51 clubhouse games, but they don’t have any respect for the original.
Some Nintendo channels have published some of their opinions on the pre-release of the new game. It actually seems to deliver!
I'm only sad because of the lack of local multiplayer games in a single switch for 3 or 4 people. Otherwise, it looks amazing!
According to Fandom's Nintendo Wiki, Agenda game studios has been defunct since 2011, lining up with their last release in 2010 :/
Also AMAZING video btw.
Thanks so much for this video! I just ordered a copy on EBay!
I'm 19 but i grew up playing this game its so memorable and i grew up with it when i was younger 10+ years ago
I had a similar but far worse compilation called 50 Classic Games that even back then I knew was bad, but I still sank hundreds of hours into it.
this game is the reason i still use my DS to this day
Loved the video! I'll definitely have to pick up the original game! I bet I would have loved it as a kid.
My whole childhood, thank you for that!!!😁😁
As I'm from the UK I always knew the game as 42 All Time Classics.
Dude where are all your subs? You should have at least 100k with this kind of quality :)
Club House games in the DS is best when going out with friends. You just needed one cart and everyone can have a blast.
My favorite games in Clubhouse Games are Dots & Boxes, Darts, Seven Bridge, Blackjack, Hearts, Checkers, and Bowling.
Though I never had the original clubhouse games, I did have the Clubhouse Games Express: Card classics games for Dsiware. Seeing this makes me wish I had the full game.
I have played this game for over 500 hours on my ds and it was one of the most enjoyable games on the ds library in my opinion
I actually did have Clubhouse Games on the DS! One of my favorite games for the thing
this game is one of my favorite games on the ds im one of the few people who has the chance to try this masterpiece
forgot what did I said this game this game selled over 3M! that's insane
I played this game so much when I was younger I loved it
I remember playing Clubhouse Games Express: Card Classics on the DSi. It was worth the $5 in addition to other DSiWare games.
The production quality of the video is very high. Really enjoyed this look back of the game.
Keep up the good work dude! Small content creators are the best.
Boi I grew up with this as part of my childhood
This is always in my DS case, along with Starfy and Pokemon Diamond. Catchy music, fun games, the whole shabang!
I also can't believe that the Switch will become old like the Ds is and then no one will play multiplayer. :(
Great video, I loved this game. I was a senior in HS when it dropped and I poured hours into it. i'm excited for the new title, but disappointed it doesn't include Hearts and Spades. I play them a lot.
this is the game we got either form the used section at gamestop or our parents gave it to us as a kid
real memories
Played all of the games in the new one, ordered the old one because of this video.
yeah I got the new one and was disappointed with the poker.
Perhaps fan demand could get these in an update [though judging by NDCube's thus far support of Super Mario Party, I expect this to be the end all be all of the game, and I can't really fault that, it's incredibly polished for what it is]
I loved the original. I preordered clubhouse games 51 as soon as it released on the store.
Great video man, I always love seeing smaller creators pop up in my recommended feed
Love this game so much! Can’t wait for the switch one! I already have it preordered
Finally some love for clubhouse games DS.
i remember playing this at 6am in the morning with my siblings
I’m gonna be completely honest, I didn’t realize there was a clubhouse games that came before the switch version.
As an owner of Clubhouse51, I can confidently say, it is a fantastic Switch game. Polished, fun selection, etc.
Clubhouse on the Switch is excellent.
Never had this but hope I can get it still, I play my dsi/3ds all the time.
Very well made video. Funny that YT recommended me this video to me. It's probably because I've seen most trailers for the Switch game.
I loved Clubhouse Games on the DS
One of the games i played a lot on that thing is Hanafuda, Very tranquil
and yes, I am stoked for Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics (despite the developer in charge) because i'm happy Clubhouse Games is back
If i hazard to guess why people are hyped for Clubhouse Games now as oppose to when it debuted on the DS is due to the presently ongoing COVID-19 pandemic - the same reason why Animal Crossing: New Horizons is doing gangbusters as we speak
Lame excuse i know but it makes sense in the scheme of things, Clubhouse Games is another Switch game that found itself in the right place and right time because with people in their homes during this pandemic, They need to find a way to play together - Clubhouse Games is a great way to do it
If anything, Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics will see the game success as Animal Crossing because of the pandemic
Heck, It's releasing just in time for my birthday (July 9th) [same goes for the US debut of Mr. Driller DrillLand and the Switch release of Burnout Paradise Remastered]
Its fucking coronavirus stop listening to the brain dead media. Covid means certificate of vaccination id
dog person sarscov2
I have this it’s timeless still pick it up and play it’s a great bedside table type game
Other than all that it’s a great game.
i never knew there was one on the ds, but i already pre purchased the switch one, for the same reasons it excited you on the ds shelf 😃
this game is so nice :D so many memories
I recently bought 51 games for switch. I fully expected it to be an impulse buy I’d play with every now and then...I play it practically every day. Big, glossy AAA titles are great, but I’ve come to learn you don’t need glamorous frills to have a fun time.
Would love to see a quick follow up covering the new game when it comes out and giving honest impressions
Im your 173rd sub. Can't wait to see you at 1 mil!
I miss this game so much. It’s the only ds game I’ve owned that I can’t find, which is just my luck. I probably gave it to my cousin like ten years ago, but if so it’s lost to time lol
I remember this game on DS. I hope the music on the switch is as good
Glad to see a review of this game on ds
Great stuff brother, I’d hold off on the slime sound effects, but aside from that, pretty crisp
